Saudi Imam says Jews and Christians must be killed

In Islams own inimitable style, of course.

"The sword is more truthful than the book. Its cutting edge separates sincerity from jest. It is the whiteness of the blade, rather than the blackness of the book’s ink, that dismisses any uncertainty or doubt.” When they faced death… This is the language these Jewish and Christian infidels understand"

Notice the inversion of the pen is mightier than the sword into the sword is mightier than the book (or cartoon).  No subtlety here, just the language of Islamic supremacism, as usual.  What is most interesting is that we hear no condemnation of this sermon from the Saudi leadership, yet they supposedly are our friends and believe in a kind of democracy.  What do we make of this?  The Saudi regime supports and exports fundamental Islamic texts and teachings and have no plans to curtail their promotion of jihad in the form of Wahabbism.

We fool ourselves believing Saudi Arabia is our ally.  They have but one goal; the establishment of a caliphate with the House of Saud at the helm.  No change in leadership will alter their long term goals.

Saudi imam: “The sword is more truthful than the book”

“Saudi Imam on Paris Attacks: This Is the Only Language Jewish and Christian Infidels Understand (and Muslims Discovered America),” MEMRI, n.d.:

Following are excerpts from a Friday sermon Imam Issa Assiri, Sa’eed bin Jubair Mosque, Jedda, Saudi Arabia, posted on the Internet on January 9 and 16, 2015:

Issa Assiri: [The papers that published the cartoons] talked about freedom of speech, but after the French journalists were killed for mocking the Prophet Muhammad in their cartoons, what did the papers have to say? What was their response? “The sword is…” Many of these newspapers reconsidered the publishing of the cartoons. Many of them reconsidered their policy regarding such images.

“The sword is more truthful than the book. Its cutting edge separates sincerity from jest. It is the whiteness of the blade, rather than the blackness of the book’s ink, that dismisses any uncertainty or doubt.” When they faced death… This is the language these Jewish and Christian infidels understand. This is the only language they understand. [After the attack] they changed their policy.

When someone curses or mocks the Prophet Muhammad – what should be his punishment? Cursing or mocking the Prophet is an act of apostasy, as all scholars concur, whether it is done seriously or in jest. Anyone who does this, Muslim or infidel, must be killed, even if he repents.

Dear believers, some notions require correction. For example, what we learned in school about the discovery of America is a lie. According to this story, the Spaniards loved spices, and since there was a shortage of spices in Europe and the price was high, they decided to send a sailor called Columbus westwards, so he would reach India and bring back spices. Only he did not get to India. Instead, he reached a land inhabited by redskins, whom he named “Red Indians.” Some time later, another sailor, called Amerigo, reached the same place. This is why America is called America – after that sailor – as if he discovered it. End of story – a fabrication and a lie, which is as far removed from the truth as possible.

Read it all, it explains also how Muslims discovered America.

Methamphetamine, not just for the West anymore

Syrian jihadists, "Palestinian" jihadists, as a matter of fact virtually all jihadists prefer using "Jihadi Meth" while on the battlefield.  Manufactured mainly in Syria, the drug Captagon is a close enough relative to amphetamine that the effects, and resulting side effects are closely mimicked.  An interesting irony, that drug use is practiced and encouraged by those who claim that Islamic doctrine prohibits drug use.  The hypocrisy of Islam knows no  bounds.

Cache of 'jihad meth' seized in West Bank
A potent stimulant popular both with jihadist fighters and soldiers in the Syrian army was seized in the West Bank, police from the Judea and Samaria district said.

In a statement put out on Friday, district police said that while checking a Palestinian returning from Jordan by way of the Allenby crossing they found 1.3 kg. of hashish as well as thousands of pills of Captagon.

The Palestinian man, a resident of Jericho, told police that the pills were to treat his heart condition. He was arrested and taken for questioning by Ma’aleh Adumim police.

A representative for the Judea and Samaria police district was not able to say on Saturday night if this was the first seizure of Captagon in the West Bank.

Captagon is the brand name for a stimulant with the active ingredient fenethylline, a chemical linkage of amphetamine and theophylline. The drug was outlawed in most of the west by the mid-’80s but remains extremely popular in the Arab world, especially in Syria, where much of it is manufactured.

Bootleg and generic copycats are quite common.

Recent reports have stated that Captagon is highly popular with fighters on both sides of the Syrian war; both jihadists from Islamic State and other groups as well as soldiers in the Syrian army.

An article published in The Guardian last week “Captagon: The amphetamine fueling Syria’s civil war,” said that the trade in the drug continues to bring millions of dollars in revenue each year, almost certainly paying for arms for rebel and jihadist forces and serving as a popular battlefield stimulant for fighters on both sides.

Earlier investigations by Reuters and Time said that the drug has become popular with Syria’s war-wracked civilian population.

Muslim anti-semitism in Portland, Oregon: Muslim teen threatens to blow up Jewish deli

The continuing growth of Islamic supremacism in the US, and an example for those of us who live in the Pacific Northwest.  No place is immune from the evil that is Islam, think back a few years to the Pioneer Square Christmas Tree lighting in Portland that almost wasn't, the secret jihad training camp in Bly, Oregon that almost came to fruition or the Ashland jihadist who was found guilty of funneling money to jiahdist in the Middle East.  With the rise of Islam comes anti-semitism.  We are seeing more examples of Jew-hating both here and over-seas, and that trend will continue until Islam and it's inherent problems are confronted honestly and in an open forum.

Portland teen accused of threatening to blow up NE Portland deli 'in the name of Allah,' court records say

A 19-year-old is accused of threatening workers repeatedly at a Northeast Portland deli when he wasn't able to buy a single cigarette, saying he would blow up the store "in the name of Allah," court records say.

Abdalah Mohamed also is accused of making disparaging remarks about Jews and Israel in July, according to an arrest warrant affidavit.

Mohamed was arraigned Monday afternoon on two counts of second-degree intimidation. He entered not guilty pleas to each count.

He was booked into the downtown Portland jail on the warrant Friday.

Court records indicate he's lived in Northeast Portland for about six years and is originally from Kenya.

According to Multnomah County Deputy District Attorney Richard Freud, Mohamed entered Ira's Deli at 7215 N.E. Prescott St. on the morning of July 14 and asked to buy a cigarette.

Shaheen Brodle, who was working behind the counter, told the teen that the deli didn't sell cigarettes individually and that he'd have to buy a pack if he wanted any cigarettes, Freud wrote.

Mohamed demanded to speak to the owner, identified in the warrant as Iraj Rafai. Rafai came to talk to Mohamed and reiterated what Brodle had told Mohamed, the affidavit said.

That's when Mohamed started shouting threats laced with profanity and demeaning comments about Jews and Israel, Freud wrote.

According to the affidavit, Mohamed screamed, "I will blow up your store'' and "I'm going to send my guys to shoot up your store.'' Mohamed also referred to the owner as a "Jew'' and an "Israeli.''

"You Israeli ... I'll blow up your store in the name of Allah!'' Mohamed is accused of yelling, Freud wrote in the affidavit. "We take care of people like you.''

Mohamed left the store, continuing to yell at Rafai and spit on the ground toward Rafai, the affidavit said. While police were investigating and interviewing witnesses at the deli, Mohamed is accused of calling the store and leaving another derogatory message, the affidavit said.

Police identified Mohamed after viewing video surveillance images from the deli, the affidavit said.

Mohamed is also accused of cocaine possession in an unrelated case, according to court records.

According to court records, Mohamed came to the United States in 2000.

He's due back in court Jan. 21.

Riot on Temple Mount by "Palestinians" angry over Charlie Hebdo cartoons

Why would the refugees be angry at some cartoons?  The anger would imply this has something to do with Islam, as it is the only religion that motivates its believers to act in a violent way in response to slights or insults.

"Burn it burn it! ..... in the cause of God. Allah the greatest. Prophet Muhammad is our leader forever"

But remember, this display of overt religious fervor has NOTHING to do with Islam.  To make that connection brands you an Islamophobe, or worse, a racist.  What race is Islam again?  I keep forgetting.

French flag burned on Temple Mount in a large rally against Mohammad cartoons
Hundreds of Palestinians attended a rally on Friday afternoon on the Temple Mount against the new cover of the French satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo, which featured a drawing of the Prophet Mohammad.

In a video uploaded by the Hamas-affiliated Shehab News Agency, protestors can be seen burning a French flag , and shouting: "Burn it burn it! ..... in the cause of God. Allah the greatest. Prophet Muhammad is our leader forever."

Charlie Hebdo's first edition since the attack on its office in Paris last week that left 12 journalists dead, published on Wednesday, featured another cartoon of the Prophet Mohammad on a cover that critics saw as a new provocation.
A protest in Niger against the French magazine's cartoons turned violent on Friday as demonstrators set fire to churches and raided shops run by Christians, residents said.

Police in the former French colony's southern town of Zinder fired tear gas on a crowd of hundreds of people as tires burned in the streets.

"The protesters are crying out in local Hausa language: Charlie is Satan - let hell engulf those supporting Charlie," said Aboubacar Mamane, a shopkeeper by telephone.

Cartoon protest in Pakistan, three injured

A Pakistani supporter of Pakistani political and Islamic party Jammat-e-Islami (JI) joins protests against the cartoons of the Prophet Mohammed by French mag...

Any religion that responds to disparaging pictures or writings of their god or prophet with violence and murder is too weak to be of any use.  Having to bolster your belief system through intimidation and physical attacks means you have no solid theological foundation and can only employ thuggish tactics to gain adherents.

This is Islam.

Clashes at Charlie Hebdo protest in Karachi, three injured

At least three people were injured Friday in clashes between anti-Charlie Hebdo protesters and police outside the French consulate in Pakistan's Karachi, officials said, including an AFP photographer who was shot in the back.

The protest by the student wing of the Jamaat-e-Islami religious party was one of several staged across Pakistan by Islamist groups after Friday prayers against the French magazine's depiction of the Prophet Mohammed.

"Three injured were brought to the hospital, two were minor injuries and one photographer was serious," said Doctor Seemi Jamali, a spokeswoman for the city's main Jinnah hospital, referring to AFP's Asif Hassan, 38.

"The bullet struck his lung, and passed through his chest. He is out of immediate danger and he has spoken to his colleagues," she continued, adding that Hassan was hit by what appeared to be a live round.

The others injured were a policeman and a local TV cameraman who were discharged after receiving first aid treatment.

Senior police official Abdul Khaliq Sheikh told AFP the violence began when some 350 protesters were prevented by police from approaching the French consulate, in the southern part of the sprawling metropolis.

"When the police tried to stop them they started firing," he said, adding that the police responded with tear gas and water cannon to disperse the protesters.

Police said Hassan and the other journalist did not appear to have been deliberately targeted but were caught in crossfire when protesters shot at the police.

A witness at the scene backed the police account, though the religious party blamed the police."Police are responsible for those wounded during the protest including Asif Hasan," said Hafiz Bilal Ramzan, head of the party's student wing.

Elsewhere in Pakistan, protesters in the northwest city of Peshawar and central Multan burnt French flags on the streets, while rallies were also held in the capital Islamabad and the eastern city of Lahore.

The demonstrations come a day after Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif led parliament in condemning the cartoons in Charlie Hebdo, whose Paris offices were attacked last week by Islamist gunmen who killed 12 people.

The newspaper is known for ridiculing religious figures, including the pope and Mohammed, and its defiant post-attack issue released Wednesday again featured the prophet on its front page.

The new cover has sparked anger in parts of the Islamic world, with protests staged from the Philippines and Turkey to Kuwait and Mauritania.

Many Muslims find any depiction of the prophet highly offensive, let alone images satirising him.

Muslim cleric in India praises the jihad against Charlie Hebdo

Of course he did, as the jihad against Charlie Hebdo was done to avenge the insult against Muhammad.  I am still waiting for a Muslim cleric to challenge this supremacist narrative with Islamic doctrine, but all that we hear are the usual platitudes; Islam is peaceful, those who attack are twisting/hijacking the teachings of Islam, they misunderstanding the tenets of Islam...the list goes on.
Many will listen and take to heart what Maulana Mohammed Naseeruddin says, and some will try to implement what he preaches.  Until Naseeruddin can be marginalized and dismissed by debating and defeating his understanding of Islamic doctrine, his dangerous rhetoric will remain believed and acted upon.

Muslim cleric in India leads special prayer to praise Charlie Hebdo killers

HYDERABAD: A video has come out showing a Muslim cleric in India leading a funeral prayer, where he praises and endorses the murder of cartoonists and satirists of the French magazine Charlie Hebdo.

This is the second major incident of someone in India openly supporting the Charlie Hebdo killers. Earlier a former minister of Uttar Pradesh had announced reward for the killers. This time the support for terrorists has come from South India.

OpIndia.com has found out that the video was shot in Hyderabad, the common capital of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, and the cleric is Maulana Mohammed Naseeruddin, who is a well known and respected cleric and Khateeb in the old city.

In the video, Maulana Naseeruddin is seen describing the Charlie Hebdo terrorists as “martyrs” and making dua for their afterlife.

“Our lives are of no meaning if someone, who has insulted the prophet, is still alive,” he is heard telling the gathering of local Muslims in the video.

The funeral prayer held in absentia, known as Ghaibana-Namaz-e-Janaza, and the gathering took place in the Saidabad area of Hyderabad. The Maulana is also heard condemning the Unity Rally that took place in Paris on Sunday.

Later, talking to the reporter Abuaimal Akram, who uploaded the video on YouTube, Maulana Naseeruddin justified the act of terror at Charlie Hebdo’s office as a deed sanctioned by Islamic traditions.

In fact, he went out to claim (at 3:26 minutes onward in the video above) that Prophet Mohammad himself had ordered executions of people who had mocked or insulted Islam and Allah.

Maulana Naseeruddin further claims that as per the Islamic traditions, those insulting the faith and the prophet shouldn’t be forgiven, but killed. He adds that since there is no global leadership of Muslims, it become the responsibility of every Muslim to make sure that such offenders don’t go unpunished.

“What they (the terrorists) did was completely jaayaz (legitimate) as per shariyat laws,” he claims.

Nancy Pelosi appoints Muslim Brotherhood linked Congressman to House Intelligence Committee

This should go well, after all Andre Carson was elected by popular vote and is respected and liked by colleagues and the public.  What could go wrong?

From Politico January 13 by Lauren French

Nancy Pelosi to name first Muslim lawmaker to House intelligence committee

Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi announced in a closed-door meeting Tuesday she would name the first Muslim lawmaker to the House’s Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence.

A senior Democratic aide said Rep. André Carson of Indiana would be named in the “coming days” to the key national security-focused panel. Pelosi (D-Calif.) told lawmakers of the appointment during the members’ weekly caucus meeting.

Carson would be the first Muslim to serve on the committee and was the second Muslim to be elected to Congress. He already serves on the Armed Services Committee and worked for the Department of Homeland Security’s Fusion Center — the clearinghouse established by the federal government to streamline data sharing between the CIA, FBI, Department of Justice and the military.

The intelligence committee will most likely tackle a series of high-profile international crises during the 114th Congress, including the threat of Islamic militants and Ukraine.

Carson’s office didn’t immediately return a request for comment.

Obama and Cameron: continued denial that jihad has anything to do with Islamr

Obama; "I do not consider it an existential threat. As David said, this is one that we will solve. We are stronger"

Cameron; "We know what we're up against. And we know how we will win. We face a poisonous and fanatical ideology that wants to pervert one of the world's major religions, Islam..."

Does this kind of stupidity remind anyone of Laurel and Hardy, or maybe the Three Stooges, minus one?  There is no explanation of exactly what we are up against, nor any description of what will be done to solve the problem.  This is ludicrous and dangerous, but it is what passes for diplomacy, security and safety of the people today.  The religion of peace is the religion that cannot be named in conjunction with jihad violence.  Even as the jihadists continue to use copious amounts of Qur'anic verses and examples from the traditions of Muhammad, or the hadiths to justify their actions, jihad will be seen as having nothing to do with Islam.  Religious radicals are not acting out of devotion to Islam. Militants, extremists, whatever name you assign cannot be tied to Islam, as Islam is a religion of peace.  The spin makes my hair hurt.

Obama vs. Cameron: British PM takes hard line on ‘Islamist’ extremists, Obama avoids I-word

"Poisonous ideology."

"Radical, death cult of a narrative."

British Prime Minister David Cameron was unsparing in his condemnation of Islamist terrorists on Friday, as he stood beside President Obama in the White House.

Like French officials last week following the deadly attacks in Paris, the PM bluntly described the problem as a "very serious Islamist extremist terrorist threat."

Obama? The U.S. president stayed the rhetorical course.

Despite the increasingly tough rhetoric from Cameron, French President Francois Hollande and others, Obama continued to describe the enemy as "violent extremism" and "violent terrorism" -- even "nihilism."

The following are key remarks from each world leader. See if you can spot the differences:

Obama:

"We both recognize that intelligence and military force alone is not going to solve this problem, so we're also going to keep working together on strategies to counter violent extremism that radicalizes recruits and mobilizes people, especially young people, to engage in terrorism."

"We also look forward to welcoming our British friends to our summit next month on countering violent terrorism, because whether in Europe or in America, a critical weapon against terrorism is our adherence to our freedoms and values at home, including the pluralism and the respect and tolerance that defines us as diverse and democratic societies."

"This phenomenon of violent extremism, the ideology, the networks, the capacity to recruit young people, this has metastasized and it is widespread, and it has penetrated communities around the world."

"I do not consider it an existential threat. As David said, this is one that we will solve. We are stronger. We are representing values that the vast majority of Muslims believe in -- in tolerance and in working together to build, rather than to destroy."

"And so, you know, this is a problem that causes great heartache and tragedy and destruction, but it is one that ultimately we're going to defeat. But we can't just defeat it through weapons. One of the things that we spoke about is how do we lift up those voices that represent the vast majority of the Muslim world, so that that counter-narrative against this nihilism is put out there as aggressively and as nimbly as the messages coming out from these -- these fanatics."

Cameron:

"We know what we're up against. And we know how we will win. We face a poisonous and fanatical ideology that wants to pervert one of the world's major religions, Islam, and create conflict, terror and death. With our allies, we will confront it wherever it appears."

"We will deploy additional intelligence and surveillance assets to help Iraqi forces on the ground, and we will ensure they are better trained and equipped to counter explosive devices. But most important of all, we must also fight this poisonous ideology starting at home."

"We do face a very serious Islamist extremist terrorist threat in Europe, in America, across the world. And we have to be incredibly vigilant in terms of that threat."

"It means countering this poisonous, fanatical death cult of a narrative that is perverting the religion of Islam."

"But here's, I think, the really determining point: You can have, tragically, people who have had all the advantages of integration, who've had all the economic opportunities that our countries can offer, who still get seduced by this poisonous, radical, death cult of a narrative."

"So, let's never lose sight of the real enemy here, which is the poisonous narrative that's perverting Islam. That is what we have to focus on, recognizing that, of course, we help ourselves in this struggle if we create societies of genuine opportunity, if we create genuine integration between our communities."

Kareem Abdul-Jabbar: Charlie Hebdo jihad had nothing to do with Islam

Here we go again.  The continuing claim that Islam had nothing to do with the religion of peace now flows from Mr. Basketball himself.  Even as he is Muslim, his belief is exclusively his own and has little to do with how Islam has been defined by its recognized leaders or practiced by players like the Islamic State.  The fact that he is known far and wide, is a hero to many people and is trusted in his opinions means his soothing words will play well to those who desperately wish that Islam was other than what it really is.

Below is the complete article, with comments interspersed.

From TIME January 9 by Kareem Abdul-Jabbar

Kareem Abdul-Jabbar: These Terrorist Attacks Are Not About Religion

Another horrendous act of terrorism has taken place and people like myself who are on media speed-dial under “Celebrity Muslims” are thrust in the spotlight to angrily condemn, disavow, and explain—again—how these barbaric acts are in no way related to Islam.

A set-up where he identifies himself as a Muslim while saying Islam has nothing to do with "barbaric acts", thus making it harder to even talk about the possibility that Islam may be culpable.  As a Muslim he must know of what he speaks, right?

For me, religion—no matter which one—is ultimately about people wanting to live humble, moral lives that create a harmonious community and promote tolerance and friendship with those outside the religious community. Any religious rules should be in service of this goal. The Islam I learned and practice does just that.

So because his Islam is good, kind and unicorn-filled, all Islam is good, kind and unicorn-filled.  An ad hoc argument that serves to hinder an honest discussion of Islamic teachings.

Violence committed in the name of religion is never about religion—it’s ultimately about money.

Never is violence about religion?  Has he not read any history book written in the last 1000 years? From the Council at Nicaea in 315AD to the Gates of Vienna in 1683 and beyond, religious beliefs have predominantly been the driving force behind the violence of war.  The Crusades would be the best example, but that Abdul-Jabbar makes this statement shows his lack of context and suggests a blind dogmatism worthy of Martin Luther.

The 1976 movie, All the President’s Men, got it right when it reduced the Daedalus maze of the Watergate scandal to the simple phrase, “Follow the money.” Forget the goons who actually carry out these deadly acts, they are nothing more than automated drones remote-controlled by others. Instead of radio signals, their pilots use selective dogma to manipulate their actions. They pervert the Qur’an through omission and false interpretation.

There is no disagreement between all schools of Islamic jurisprudence or Al-Azhar University that non-believers are infidels and are to be given three choices; conversion, subjugation as a dhimmi or war.  There is no disagreement that 47-4 means exactly what it says "When you find the infidels, smite them on their necks..."and there is no disagreement that the Qur'an allows for the beating of your wife if she misbehaves (4-34).  All these, and many more are part and parcel of Islamic doctrine, yet Abdul-Jabbar conveniently ignores them.  Jihadists believe they are doing what Muhammad did, and justify their actions with copious quotes from the Qur'an and hadiths to prove it.  Kareem Abdul-Jabbar can only make the claim, he cannot back it up with doctrinal proof.  This is the fatal flaw of what he is doing; it has no backbone to support the statement.

How is it about money? When one looks at the goal of these terrorist attacks, it’s clearly not about scaring us into changing our behavior. The Twin Tower attacks of 9/11 didn’t frighten America into embracing Islam.

The fatwa against Salman Rushdie didn’t prevent the publication of The Satanic Verses.

Of course not, the fatwa was issued after the book was published, not before.  It would have been impossible to issue a fatwa against a book not yet in print.  Why he makes this claim is anyone's guess.

Like all terrorist attacks on the West, they just strengthen our defiant resolve. So the attack in Paris, as with most others, isn’t about changing Western behavior, it’s about swaggering into a room, flexing a muscle, and hoping to elicit some admiring sighs. In this case, the sighs are more recruits and more donations to keep their organization alive. They have to keep proving they are more relevant than their competing terrorist groups. It’s just business.

The business of jihad and global conquest, yes.

Nor should we blame America’s foreign policy as the spark that lights the fuse.

Poverty, political oppression, systemic corruption, lack of education, lack of critical thinking, and general hopelessness in these countries is the spark.

Most jihadists come from well-off families, that has been proven time and again.  All his suggestions of why these attacks happen hold the idea that if we toss enough money towards Muslims, all will be well.  They just want what the West wants, and if we give it to them they will calm down and be friends.  No comment on how this policy has been done, with little success for decades.  Just the same. tired rhetoric that has no weight in the real world today.

Yes, we’ve made mistakes that will be used to justify recruiting new drones. But we shouldn’t kid ourselves that the recent report detailing our extensive and apparently ineffective use of torture caused any kind of mass terrorist volunteers. The world knew we tortured. The only thing the report revealed was how bad we were at it. More important, if recruits were swayed by logical idealism, they would realize that the fact that we conducted, released, and debated such a report is what makes America admirable. We don’t always do the right thing, but we strive to. We admit our faults and make adjustments. It may be glacial, but it’s movement forward.

Knowing that these terrorist attacks are not about religion, we have to reach a point where we stop bringing Islam into these discussions

He should be telling this to the jihadists, as they are the ones who constantly and consistently invoke Islam as their prime motivator.  He should explain to the jihadists that what they are doing has nothing to do with Islam.  Maybe that will get them to stop, think and say "you are right, I give up jihad for Western democracy, a Chevrolet, apple pie and a condo by the river".  I believe that is what he hopes will happen after hearing his words that Islam has nothing to do with violence.

I know we aren’t there yet because much of the Western population doesn’t understand the Islamic religion

And this cloudy misdirection will only help to make it more difficult to have an honest discussion that would help the West understand Islam.

All they see are brutal beheadings, kidnappings of young girls, bloody massacres of children at schools, and these random shootings. Naturally, they are frightened when they hear the word Muslim or see someone in traditional Muslim clothing. Despite any charitable impulses, they also have to be thinking, “Better safe than sorry”—as they hurry in the opposite direction.

Broad brush distinction.  He defaults to the bitter conclusion: all Muslims must be as bad as seen on TV, therefore we must treat all Muslims as if they are all culpable.  He refuses to make the important distinction between Islamic texts and teachings, and how Muslims act on those teachings.  This is a common fault of those who do no research on Islam, even as far as just reading the Qur'an, and is moreso dangerous when it is a Muslim making these comments.

When the Ku Klux Klan burn a cross in a black family’s yard, prominent Christians aren’t required to explain how these aren’t really Christian acts. Most people already realize that the KKK doesn’t represent Christian teachings

Irrelevant argument.  The Klan today is not even a shell of its former self, maybe a few thousand at most, scattered about the country, only able to scare the local villagers.  There were many Christian leaders condemning the Klan during its heyday, and using scripture to do it as well.  Christians may not have been required to explain, but they did so willingly, with theological arguments, something Muslims like Abdul-Jabbar cannot, and will not do.

That’s what I and other Muslims long for—the day when these terrorists praising the Prophet Muhammad or Allah’s name as they debase their actual teachings are instantly recognized as thugs disguising themselves as Muslims. It’s like bank robbers wearing masks of presidents; we don’t really think Jimmy Carter and George W. Bush hit the Bank of America during their down time.

We can’t end terrorism any more than we can end crime in general.

Ironically, terrorism is actually an act against the very religion they claim to believe in

"...Against them make ready your strength to the utmost of your power, including steeds of war, to strike terror into (the hearts of) the enemies... (8:59-60)"

It’s an acknowledgement that the religion and its teachings aren’t enough to convince people to follow it. Any religion that requires coercion is not about the community, but about the leaders wanting power.

The only true statement in the entire article.

I look forward to the day when an act of terrorism by self-proclaimed Muslims...

As opposed to being claimed a Muslim by your dry cleaner?

...will be universally dismissed as nothing more than a criminal attack of a thuggish political organization wearing an ill-fitting Muslim mask.

To get to that point, we will need to teach our communities what the real beliefs of Islam are

Is that you, Kareem?  Will you teach us all what the real Islam is?

In the meantime, keep my name on speed-dial so we can get through this together.

The Islamic State trains children to murder non-Muslims

The barbarity of Islam seems to know no bounds.  We have heard stories before about children being involved with atrocities connected with Islam, with each one tearing a little bit more of our humanity out and tossing it to the winds.  The fact that any society/religion/culture uses children in this way is to be strongly condemned, and that these children are being used (and abused) by Islam must not be ignored or apologized away.

ISIS video shows child purportedly executing 2 Russian spies
A new video released by ISIS militants purports to show the execution of two Russian spies at the hands of a child.
The nearly eight-minute video, called "Uncovering an Enemy Within," was released by Al Hayat, the English-language media arm of the Islamic State.

The video includes interviews with two men who identify themselves as Russian Intelligence (FSB) agents Jambulat Yesenjanovich Mamayev from Kazakhstan and Serge Nikolayavich Ashimov, who says he used to be Muslim. The men state they were sent to spy on the militants in territory held by the Islamic State to relay information back to Russia in exchange for money. Later in the video, they appear to be executed by a young boy with a handgun.

"My mission was to come to Sham and get close to [an unnamed militant] and inform the FSB about him, and also to gather information about fighters from Russian and send the information to Russia," Yesenjanovich says in the video.

"I was required to send every information about the fighters in Sham and to determine the place of residence of an Islamic State leader," the second man, Nikolayavich, says, adding that he was sent to kill one of the group's leaders.

A man who says he is a Russian spy is seen on an Islamic State video released on Tuesday, Jan. 13, 2015.

The video then cuts to show the two men kneeling in the dirt in front of a militant and a young boy holding a handgun. The adult fighter reads from the Quran and says, "Allah has gifted the Islamic State's security agency with the apprehension of these two spies... By Allah's grace, they are now in the custody of the lion cubs of the Caliphate."

Two men are seen kneeling before they are purportedly executed by a young boy at the encouragement of an Islamic State militant.

The young boy then steps forward at the encouragement of the ISIS militant, raises the gun to the back of the first man's head and fires. He does the same with the second man, appearing to shoot him twice more after he slumps forward.

Charlie Winter, a researcher on jihadism in Syria and Iraq at London-based counter-extremism organisation Quilliam, says the boy, no older than 10, has appeared in previous videos released by the Islamic State.

The group has reportedly been grooming children to join its militant group through "cub camps" targeting those younger than 16. Iraqi security officials have said that the children, deemed "Cubs" in ISIS propaganda videos, are being taught the principles of jihad at several camp across Iraq and Syria.

The children wield AK-47s, watch beheadings and train in military drills before graduating from the camps within one month, according to the unnamed official.

Photos described as showing "A Tour Inside Shaddad Al-Tounisi Camp for Cubs of the Islamic State" were circulated by accounts associated with the group in September. The photos show children participating in military drills, doing pushups and climbing ropes. While it is unclear where or when they were taken, an ISIS flag can be seen in several of the photos, and were circulated on social media accounts associated with the group.

Free Speech Update: Charlie Hebdo cartoons with translations

With Charlie Hebdo being a French publication, it is difficult for most of us to get a handle on the satire of the cartoons.  In the link above you can see most of them from the past few years, and read an English translation.  Free speech means protecting the uncomfortable, the insulting and the demeaning, for speech we all agree with needs no protection.

Watch the Youtube video and stand proud for free speech.  Without it, we are at the mercy of theological tyrants.  Je suis Charlie!

Jihad in Paris: the spin starts here

OK, the mainstream media is in full "circle the wagons" mode, doing everything they can to make the reader believe Islam had nothing to do with this attack.  Lets revue what has been reported up to this point.

First, there was a bomb blast outside a synagogue a few hours after the jihad murders.  The French press makes a note that these two incidents are not related.  It may be true that those involved in both attacks did not know each other personally, but it appears the doctrine of Islam played a role in both instances.

One prominent aspect of media reporting on jihad attacks is to turn the victimization around, and blame "Islamophobia" as the driver of jihad attacks.  The press, ever willing to carry water for Islam takes the murder of 12 innocents and tells us that it is because of Islamophobia that these 12 were killed.  This is madness, and it is the road chosen by those who capitualte to Islam in the name of "getting along".  The prominent English daily, the Telegraph chose to also publish a piece on the rise of Islamophobia, subtly blaming it for, you guessed it, the murder of 12 at Charlie Hebdo.  I wonder how much longer the cognitive dissonance can exist within the thinking of the media; with their belief in Islam being a religion of peace, and the jihadists continually screaming Allahu Akbar, their heads must be close to popping.

Variety, a long time Hollywood entertainment daily has also weighed in (why?) with what amounts to...the same old, same old.  Echoing most other media outlets, Variety reporter Elsa Keslassy tells her readers that "The Charlie Hebdo carnage will likely fuel the racism and anti-Islam sentiment which has been on the rise in France", once again bolstering the false claim that Islamophobia is the cause of jihad.

The New York Times, a once great newspaper has decided they know nothing, admitting that they only know that three attackers were involved, 12 are dead and the names of the victims have not been released.  I guess the fact that the jihadists yelled Allahu Akbar and that they were avenging their prophet Muhammad means nothing.  Of course it means nothing, if the NYT had to actually do any kind of research they would have to conclude that Islamic texts and tenets are to blame, and that is just not acceptable.  Anything but Islam is their mantra, and they are very good at sticking to that line.  They should ask Howard Dean, former head of the DNC.  He knows that Muslims had nothing to do with this because their actions are not what the Qur'an says.  I doubt Dean has even picked one up let alone even read it, but he is sure this has nothing to do with Islam or Muslims.

It is obvious that Islam is on the march in France, with a Muslim population of almost 5% this is when Islam begins to flex its muscle, demanding accommodations either through intimidation or outright murder, a pattern with historical precedent.  France is at a turning point, as is England and Germany (among others) as to whether their society and culture will continue, or be replaced with the ugly and xenophobic religion of Islam.

NBC News is reporting that the jihadists have been caught, with one is dead and the other two in custody.  Wait for the spin on mental illness, poor assimilation into French society, anger over Muslim lands being "invaded" by Western powers and the ever popular "we have no idea why" story, all designed to deflect from the reality of Islamic jihad.

Above you see one of the many cartoons Charlie Hebdo published.  I cannot publish all of them here but I strongly urge all of you to look up the pictures and if you have Facebook or other social media, post them far and wide.  We must not give in to the hecklers veto and let Islam take away the absolute freedom of speech.  Pray for the dead and their families, and educate yourself on the dangers of Islam.  We must not let them win, we must stand strong.  If we do not, our world as we know it today will be gone soon, replaced with a caliphate of epic evil.

Breaking Report: Jihad in Paris kills 12 at offices of magazine Charlie Hebdo

The escalation continues, yet no one will identify the doctrine which drives the jihadists to kill non-believers.  Wait for the articles to come in the next day or so that deny this has anything to do with Islam, even as the jihadists shouted they had avenged Muhammad, as well as the standard "Allahu Akbar".

These attacks will continue to increase, and as long as nothing is done to identify the real reasons more innocents will die.

This is Islam, coming to a neighborhood in the US soon.

French Magazine Hit in Terrorist Attack: 12 Killed, Four Wounded

A terrorist attack in Paris has killed at least 12 in an assault on the headquarters of the satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo.

Two of the dead are reported to be policemen. Four more are seriously injured.

Three hooded gunmen were seen entering the building armed with AK-47s and, according to some witnesses, a rocket launcher. Gunfire was then heard in the building. Two masked gunmen escaped in a black Citroen DS, running over several pedestrians as they fled.

According to Pierre de Cossette, a broadcast journalist with Europe1 News, "Several men in black cagoules were heard to shout 'The Prophet has been avenged.'" The BBC’s Frank Gardner reports that the gunmen were heard shouting “Allahu Akbar.” The outlet said that, “Two of the gunmen were dressed in the typical jihadist "uniform" of black balaclavas, khaki ammunition pouches and were armed with Kalashnikovs.”

President Francois Hollande has visited the site of the attack and will shortly be attending an emergency cabinet meeting. France has now been raised to the highest possible threat level. The attack was the worst terrorist attack to hit France in 30 years. The president called the attack "an act of exceptional barbarism."

France 2 reported that the attack took place as staff were holding their weekly editorial meeting. Several of the magazine’s staff took refuge on the roof of the building.

Charlie Hebdo published several controversial cartoons of the founder of Islam, Mohammed, in 2011. Shortly afterwards, its offices were firebombed.

This week’s Charlie Hebdo ran a front cover depicting the Islamic State beheading the founder of Islam, Mohammed, who pleads his identity to no avail. It also ran a story about a new novel by author Michel Houllebecq about a hypothetical future in which Islamists take over France. Set in 2022, the book, titled Submission envisages an Islamist president imposing sharia law and building an Islamist state in Europe.

#JeSuisCharlie (I am Charlie) is trending on Twitter, as social media users offer their support to the victims of the attack.
