No More Mr. Nice Guy

The Muslim Brotherhood is on the march, even as they say they won't field a presidential candidate and will be happy with a small role in the new Egyptian government.  Ever since the Oslo Accords, where Egypt recognized the state of Israel and began diplomatic exchanges, the MB and other Islamists and jihadists have been in a snit.  To not hate the Jews and Israel is against Islamic doctrine, and the Brotherhood is not about to go against the words of Allah and Muhammad.

I have pointed out that the end of Egypt as we knew her is also the end of Israel, at least from the political sense.  The Muslim Brotherhood has now stated that if/when they get the power, the recognition of Israel and the Jews there will disappear, and hatred and enminity will be the norm.

Will anyone point this out, or stand with Israel against an enemy who wants nothing less than the destruction of Israel and the death of all Jews?

Israel peace treaties, null and void - Muslim Brotherhood member

(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - A senior member of Egyptian Muslim Brotherhood said there is virtually no peace agreement with the Zionist regime following the recent developments in the country, adding that any treaty not approved by the Egyptian nation must be abrogated.

Kamal Halbavi was speaking to Qudsna when asked about the future of several treaties signed by the former Egyptian regime with the Zionist regime.

The Egyptian nation considers as null and void any agreement between the toppled regime and the Zionist regime which has no respect for justice and rights of the Egyptian people.

He said the world was witnessing massive changes. “People worldwide want to see unjust laws scraped. It is no surprise for the Egyptians to want the same,” he said.
Halbavi then touched on the dismantling of Berlin wall, adding that following the dismantling, many previously signed treaties were abrogated.

He said the time was over for surrender to treaties which have brought humiliation to the Egyptian nation.

"To not hate the Jews and Israel is against Islamic doctrine". It is you-all who are spreading hate. The Koran is actually fairly tolerant toward Jews and Christians - more so than the other way round. On the other hand, it is very sectarian toward non-Abrahamic religions. Amalgamating 'the Jews' and 'Israel' is indeed hateful, but it's you who do it, not Muslims. Muslims don't recognise a Jewish state - why the hell should they?

Jay, if you can show where in the Qur'an are the tolerant passages towards non-Muslims, while taking into account the abrogation verse (2-106) then I will eat my Qur'an. None of those kind, gentle, lets just get along suras and verses are in play today, they all have been relegated to the dustbin of Islamic doctrine by all schools of Islamic jurisprudence, Al-Azhar University and every recognized Islamic cleric and scholar. As much as you want it to be otherwise, the facts are there for all to see, and for all Muslims to practice. Sorry, Jay. Try again.

Like most religious books, the Koran is full of contradictions - one moment 'the people of the book', the next 'you must not befriend unbelievers'. Christianity and Judaism are equally full of contradictions, and their history is as bloody. But we hear in the media about Catholic and Muslim anti-semitism, but never about Jewish Christophobia, festivals celebrating slaughters, etc.. You are not helping to promote a more balanced view.

'Islam defines Jews (and Christians) as dhimmis (“protected peoples”), meaning tolerated but second-class citizens' - that's from a Zionist source. A more sophisticated Zionist source than this website. A Zionist who pretends not to hate Muslims. A Zionist whose weasel words actually help Israel. I guess I prefer you guys.

I know you want to believe that as a tolerated second-class citizen, Jews were protected and saved from harm, and treated as any other citizen. Let me remind you of the Pact of Umar against the Jews(http://islamtodayoregon.blogspot.com/2011/01/how-dhimmitude-came-to-be-pact-of-umar.html) and how that tolerated segment of society were actually treated, and are today treated the same. Nothing changes in 1400 years, the hatred against non-Muslims continues.

Honestly, would you live under those rules, and be happy to be a second-class citizen?

The Ottoman Empire saved Jews from Catholic persecution. There are Jews in Iran - they are allowed to practice their religion, eat matzos, watch Woody Allen movies, etc., but not to support the nuclear-armed gang of racist murderers known as the Israeli government - a reasonable restriction which the West should emulate. You just choose the examples which appear to prove your case. The scientific method means looking for counter-examples.
