Syrian jihadists have US and European passports but don't worry, they won't come here

Actually the threat is very real and if there are 1,000 jihadists with Western passports then we better start profiling Muslims and monitoring mosques.

As if we we wouldn't be monitoring Italian restaurants if the Mafia was being investigated.

From FoxNews November 13 by Catherine Herridge

Western-raised jihadists pouring into Syria could threaten US in future

Most of the more than 1,000 jihadists who have poured into Syria to fight alongside Al Qaeda carry passports from North America and Europe, raising the possibility that they could easily bring terror back to the west, according to a key lawmaker who receives regular briefings on the issue.

The prospect is especially chilling given that Al Qaeda-linked fighters in Syria seem determined to use the embattled nation as a haven from which to launch future attacks beyond the region, according to Rep. Mike Rogers, R-Mich., who chairs the House Intelligence Committee.

"The number now exceeds 1,000 western jihadists who have shown up, so they'll have passports, good passports, allows them to travel around Europe, maybe get to the United States," Rogers told Fox News. "That's concerning."

Middle Eastern wars drawing insurgents from around the globe is not new, but Rogers said there appears to be even greater intensity in Syria, where Muslim militants have joined Syrians in a bid to oust President Bashar al-Assad.

"What we've seen to date, a higher rate of foreign insurgents then we did see in Iraq or Afghanistan," Rogers said. "Which is significant if you think of the time frame and then the height of the Iraq War in about '06 we saw a huge influx of insurgents from all over the world, jihadists who had a pretty passionate commitment."

But the outsiders seem to have a different goal than simply ousting Assad.

"The conflict you hear about among Al- Qaeda affiliates is not them fighting for control in Syria, it's them arguing about: 'Do we do external operations or do we focus more in Syria for the time being?'" Rogers said. "That is a dangerous trend for us indeed."

A dangerous trend would be the overuse of trans-fats.  This is a life or death situation and should be treated as such.  It won't, and thus we are doomed.

Three years after the "Arab Spring" revolts, women's rights are worse than before

This should surprise no one, yet most will gape in awe and ask themselves, "How did this happen?"

Women have been second class citizens in Islam since 610AD.  Yes Muhammad gave women certain rights that were not common for women in the 7th century, but today those Islamic "rights" are the main reason we see women not being allowed to drive, women being forced to wear the burqa and a rampant FGM problem in supposedly moderate Muslim countries like Egypt and Malaysia.

Until women in Islamic countries are afforded the same human rights as the males in their culture we will see more abuse, and more spinning of the truth.

From Al-Arabiya November 12

Arab Spring nations backtrack on women’s rights, poll says

Arab women played a central role in the Arab Spring, but their hopes the revolts would bring greater freedom and expanded rights for women have been thwarted by entrenched patriarchal structures and the rise of Islamists, gender experts in the countries say.

Almost three years after popular uprisings toppled autocratic leaders in one of the most conservative corners of the world, a Thomson Reuters Foundation poll on 22 Arab states showed three out of five Arab Spring countries in the bottom five states for women's rights (for the methodology behind the poll, please see http://poll2013.trust.org).

Egypt emerged as the worst country to be a woman in the Arab world today, followed closely by Iraq and Saudi Arabia. Egypt scored badly in almost every category, including gender violence, reproductive rights, treatment of women in the family and their inclusion in politics and the economy.

Arab Spring countries Syria and Yemen ranked 18th and 19th, respectively - worse than Sudan, Lebanon, the Palestinian territories and insurgency-hit Somalia, which scored better on factors such as political and economic inclusion, women's position in the family, reproductive rights and sexual violence. Libya and Tunisia came in 9th and 6th.

But while the situation is dire, some activists saw reasons for optimism. For one thing, the revolts led more poor women and those on the margins to be aware of their rights.

Women's rights have traditionally been a concern of the “intellectual elite” in Egypt, where many are illiterate and live below the poverty line, said Nihad Abul Komsan, head of the Egyptian Centre for Women's Rights.

“We used to suffer from the fact that talk of women's rights came across as talk ... limited to the creme-de-la-creme ladies of society,” she told Reuters.

“But the big challenge women faced led to women's issues being discussed on the street by ordinary women and illiterate women.”

The questions to 336 gender experts invited to take part in the poll were based on key provisions of the U.N. Convention to Eliminate All Forms of Discrimination Against Women, which all Arab Spring states have signed or ratified. The polling took place in August and September.

Egypt's ranking below Saudi Arabia, where women are banned from driving and need permission from a male guardian to work or travel, reflects widespread concerns about harassment, which was mentioned by almost every respondent as a major issue.

A U.N report on women in April said up to 99.3 percent of women and girls in Egypt are subjected to sexual harassment.
Samira Ibrahim, a pro-democracy protester who was subjected to an invasive virginity test while in detention when the military council was in power after Hosni Mubarak's ouster, said “harassment is the biggest problem facing us now”.

"It is better to see a dog than to see an American...If the situation in the country gets worse, I will escape"

Angered over the loss of his livelyhood through the ineptitude of US and NATO, the last Jew in Afghanistan will soon be just s footnote in the history of Islamic conquest in the 21st century.

May God protect and guide Zabulon Simintov in his final months as a Jewish Afghani.

From Yahoo News November 12 by Jessica Donati and Mirwais Harooni

Last Jew in Afghanistan faces ruin as kebabs fail to sell

KABUL (Reuters) - Zabulon Simintov always removes his kippah, the skullcap worn by Jewish men, before entering his cafe in a dilapidated building that also houses Afghanistan's last synagogue.

"Let me take off my cap, otherwise people will think something bad about me," Simintov said cheerfully as he descended grime-caked stairs to the ground-floor cafe.

In his 50s, Simintov is the last known Afghan Jew to remain in the country. He has become something of a celebrity over the years and his rivalry with the next-to-last Jew, who died in 2005, inspired a play.

Mindful of Afghanistan's extremely conservative Muslim culture, Simintov tries not to advertise his identity to protect the Balkh Bastan or Ancient Balkh kebab cafe he opened four years ago, naming it after a northern Afghan province.

"All food here is prepared by Muslims," he said.

Now the cafe, neat and shiny, faces closure because kebabs are not selling well - largely because of deteriorating security in Kabul that has made people frightened to eat out or visit the city.

Simintov used to rely on hotel catering orders but even these have dried up as foreign troops begin to withdraw from Afghanistan, further weakening security and investment.

"Hotels used to order food for 400 to 500 people. Four or five stoves were busy from afternoon to evening," he said. "I plan to close my restaurant next March and rent its space."

At lunchtime, a single table was occupied, with a pair of customers ordering tender meat on long skewers and other Afghan dishes. Neither appeared to know about Simintov's history and said they came only because a cafe next door that made a special dish of Afghan noodles had shut down.

Little is known about the origins of Afghan Jews, who some believe may have lived here more than 2,000 years ago. A cache of 11th century scrolls recently discovered in the north provided the first opportunity to study poems, commercial records and judicial agreements of the time.

The community was several thousand strong at the turn of the 20th century, spread across several cities but having limited contact with fellow Jews abroad. They later left the country en masse, mostly for the newly created state of Israel.

Simintov's wife and daughters also left for the Jewish state, but he decided to stay behind with his Afghan "brothers".

UK soldier shot seconds after photo taken with Afghan policemen

Corporal Brent McCarthy of McCarthy with a rogue Afghan policemen suspected of shooting dead him and L/Cpl Lee Davies, 1st Battalion Welsh Guards

What are we doing in Afghanistan?  Too many Western lives have been lost...for what?  For an ideology that has never been vocalized and a fight against an unidentifiable enemy.

From the Daily Mail November 5 by Anna Edwards

Pictured with the man who shot him dead moments later: RAF policeman grins alongside rogue Afghan policeman who opened fire on him and comrade

An unwitting British soldier who posed for a photograph with a rogue Afghan policeman was shot dead by him seconds later.

Corporal Brent McCarthy, 25, is pictured with a member of the Afghan Uniformed Police just moments before the shooting.

After the snap was taken the gunman and another accomplice turned their weapons on the RAF policeman.
His comrade Lance Corporal Lee Davies, 27, of the 1st Battalion Welsh Guards, who can be seen sitting grinning in the background of the photo, was also shot dead.
The pair were unlawfully killed while on active service, a coroner has ruled.
A military inquest heard the pair both died of 'unsurvivable injuries' after being shot by close range gunshots.

Both soldiers were part of an eight-man team who had gone to the Afghan police base in the Lashkar Gah district of Helmand province on May 12.

The patrol had gone there so British officers could meet local police officials with RAF policeman Cpl McCarthy acting as a specialist adviser.

Oxfordshire Coroners Court was told the men had been engaging in 'banter and general chit chat' with what they thought were two Afghan Uniformed Police officers.

LCpl Davies, from Barry, South Wales, had remarked that the Afghan pictured had 'wet himself' and this may have been a sign as to what was about to happen, the inquest heard.

The Afghan national pictured was shot dead by a British guardsman as he tried to flee the scene.

Home Office pathologist Dr Russell Delaney said despite efforts to resuscitate the pair 'there was nothing colleagues, combat medics or medical staff could have done.'

Benjamin Bardsley, the men’s commander at the time, told the inquest at Oxfordshire Coroners Court it was his belief the two Afghans, dressed in police uniforms, had staged an 'opportunistic' attack on his men.

Pakistan: no virgins for jihadists as bomb detonates inside madrassa

Injured go missing after explosion at Balochistan religious seminary

QUETTA: An unregistered religious seminary was gutted as a result of an explosion that occured allegedly after explosive materials prematurely went off in the Eastern Bypass, an outskirt of Quetta valley, on Sunday morning.

Four rooms of the religious seminary and a nearby house were completely destroyed in the blast.

According to eyewitness accounts, three people injured in the blast were taken out by their companions before police reached the site. A search operation was launched to find the injured, but police could not locate them at any Quetta hospital.

Deputy Inspector General Police (DIG) Operations Mohammed Jaffar said some religious literature was recovered from the wreckage along with explosives material. He said those in the seminary were preparing explosives that went off prematurely.

Quetta is vulnerable to sectarian and militant attacks and recently two bombings killed more than a dozen people and injured over 50 others.

After the US drone strike that killed Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) Chief Hakimullah Mahsud, security has been beefed up in sensitive areas of Quetta that include the military cantonment, Chief Minister House, IG FC and Police Balochistan’s residences and provincial secretariat.

PA head Abbas; "All of Israel is occupied Palestine"

Our friend in the peace process, Mahmoud Abbas is no friend of the peace process.  His latest outrage is just more of the same anti-semitism that the media will ignore.  After all, it is the Islamophobes and supporters of Israel who are the true enemies of the "Palestinians"

Abbas' speech: All of Israel is occupied Palestine

All of Israel is "occupied Palestinian land" was part of the message of a speech by Palestinian Authority Chairman Mahmoud Abbas at a memorial this month. Delivering "the speech of Mahmoud Abbas, President of the State of Palestine," member of Fatah Central Committee Jamal Muhaisen stated that "not an inch of the land of Palestine" has been "liberated," including the "1948 lands," which is a term the PA and Fatah use to refer to Israel within the Green Line:
"All our holy places are still under occupation, and so far we have not liberated one inch of Palestinian land. All Palestinian land is occupied - Gaza is occupied, the West Bank is occupied, the 1948 lands (i.e., Israel) are occupied and Jerusalem is occupied."

A poster announced that the event was "under the auspices" of Abbas.

A song glorifying the weapon and the use of violence, "My Weapon Has Emerged," was chosen as part of the National Security Band's performance at the memorial, which marked the anniversary of the death of a senior Fatah and PLO leader from 1970s, Majed Abu Sharar:
"From my wounds, my weapon has emerged.
Oh, our revolution, my weapon has emerged.
There is no force in the world that can remove the weapon from my hand."
[Official PA TV Live, Oct. 9, 2013]

Palestinian Media Watch has reported that the PA has also chosen this song to be performed at other events. A longer version of the song also includes text that glorifies death:

"This revolutionary people has sacrificed and offered in order to live in freedom!
My weapon has emerged.
My weapon has emerged.
He who offers his blood doesn't care if his blood flows upon the ground.
As the weapon of the revolution is in my hand, so my presence will be forced [upon Israel].
My weapon has emerged.
My weapon has emerged."
Click to see more examples of the PA's policy of denying Israel's right to exist and its policy of promotion of violence.

The following is an excerpt from Abbas' speech at the memorial, delivered by Fatah Central Committee member Jamal Muhaisen:
Moderator of memorial: "Brothers and sisters, now listen to the speech of Mahmoud Abbas, President of the State of Palestine, which will be delivered by brother and fighter Jamal Muhaisen, member of Fatah's Central Committee."
Delivering Abbas' speech, Fatah Central Committee member Jamal Muhaisen: "All our holy places are still under occupation, and so far we have not liberated one inch of Palestinian land. Drone strike in Pakistan kills head of Pakistan Taliban

A senior Taliban source has confirmed that a U.S. drone strike in Pakistan killed the head of the Pakistan Taliban Friday.

Several intelligence, army and militant sources said Friday that Taliban leader Hakimullah Mehsud is dead, and a senior Taliban source confirmed his death to Reuters. The Taliban source also said Mehsud's funeral would be held Saturday.

The strike—one of a series of recent attacks aimed at insurgents-- occurred in the North Waziristan region of Pakistan.

``We can confirm Hakimullah Mehsud was killed in the drone strike,'' one senior security official told Reuters.

Mehsud, who is also believed to be behind a failed car bombing in New York's Times Square in 2010 as well as brazen attacks inside Pakistan, was widely reported to have been killed in 2010, but later resurfaced. The tribal areas where the drone attacks occur are dangerous, making it difficult for journalists to independently confirm information.

The strike—which hit the village of Dande Derpa Khel in North Waziristan-- also killed four other suspected militants, according to two Pakistani intelligence officials.

A senior U.S. intelligence official confirmed the strike overnight, saying the U.S. received positive confirmation Friday morning that he had been killed.

The CIA and the White House declined to comment on the reported death.

"It's extraordinary how the authorities in our country (Britain) bend over backwards to accommodate Islam"

And one of the results of this accommodation is the firing of a Christian Arab after being accused of insulting Islam.  The pace of the demise of England to the pressure of Islam is speeding up, this incident serving to highlight this rapid Islamization.

From CBN News November 1 by Dale Hurd

Heathrow Employee Sacked over Alleged Insult to Islam

LONDON -- Nohad Halawi learned that in today's Britain, you'd better not be perceived as having insulted Islam at work because it could ruin your life.

Halawi worked the cosmetics counter in the duty free zone inside London's Heathrow Airport for 13 years. She was by all accounts hardworking and well-liked.

But when Halwai ran afoul of her Muslim co-workers, she was effectively fired.

"I didn't say anything wrong. I was complimenting a colleague of mine," she said.

Halawi, a Christian from Lebanon, was having a conversation in Arabic with a co-worker and praising a Muslim colleague when it was misinterpreted by another Muslim employee as an insult.

The False Accusation

"We were talking about something else and I said, 'Well, everyone is not like you. You are such an "alawi,' which means 'man of God' in any religion," she explained.

"And unbeknownst to me my accuser was standing quite close by and he just started jumping and shouting and in front of colleagues and passengers and everyone started telling me, 'You are insulting Islam,'" she continued.

When Christians say anything about Islam it is usually taken as an insult, unless it is to recite the shahada and convert to Islam from Christianity.

It sounds like a ridiculous accusation, but rumors began to spread among Heathrow's many Muslim employees that Halawi was anti-Muslim. She was seen as a problem and eventually fired.

But Halawi isn't anti-Muslim. She is married to a Muslim. She spoke of the embarrassment of having to explain to family and friends that she lost her job because she was a "racist."

She said "it was all a total lie."

Halawi is being represented by the Christian Legal Centre, headed by Andrea Williams.

"What happened to Nohad was totally unfair and grossly disproportionate," Williams told CBN News. "Actually, when you hear what she said, she was not giving offense at all. So, to be perceived to give offense to Allah, to the prophet Mohammed, means she lost the job she had had for many years and now finds herself living in fear of reprisals."

A Hotbed for Anti-Christian Proselytizing

She also was harassed for being a Christian and heard the name of Jesus mocked by Muslims.

But other things that Halawi witnessed at Heathrow Airport should make travelers who use Heathrow nervous.

Halawi heard Muslim employees there praising the terrorist attacks on 9/11 and Britain's 7/7 bombings.

She also saw Muslims bring the Koran to work; she said one man proselytized and handed out radical leaflets.

"And he just walks up to us and said, 'If you convert to Islam, all your pain will go away,'" she recalled. "And he told me and other colleagues that 'If you don't convert to Islam between now and the end of the world, you'll go to hell,' and 'Convert now because Islam is taking over.'"

When the employee was reported, Halawi said he was not fired.

Of course not, as to do so would have been Islamophobic.

Priorities, Time and the Future

Dear readers,  it has been a little over three years since I started Islam Today Oregon, with thousands of posts, essays, commentary and opinion given in the name of education and enlightenment.  I regret nothing and stand by everything I have written over the years, including pieces done before this blog.  I am honored to be allowed a voice, because as we all know in many other countries my voice would not be heard, and I would most assuredly be dead by now.

While building the blog I also decided to pursue my education, and have been back in college to get my masters in history, specifically Middle East/Islamic history.  I finished my AA degree, and have moved to chapter 2, a bachelors.  I knew hard work and dedication was required and I did not shy away from diving in head first to achieve a long sought goal.  What surprised me was the reality that I am no longer in my 20's (or even 30's) and what I thought would be fairly easy but lengthy has turned out to be far from reality.  I am not complaining because I love learning and teaching, but I do want to explain some of the trials I am experiencing trying to balance more than a few spinning plates on sticks.

Time may be infinite but it is not unlimited.  My studies are intensive, as is the gathering of news and opinion for this blog.  There are priorities, mainly the utilization of limited monies to pay for my education.  I have always juggled time, trying to use it to maximum effect, yet as most of you have seen, recently I have spent less time here and more time deep in study.  Rest assured this blog will continue, but with only myself the wearer of many hats I have had to limit the time spent maintaining and furthering the blog.  Now with that in mind let me present this to you, my faithful readers.

I would like to find another like-minded person to take some of the pressure off me by assuming a role of associate editor.  No pay, no vacation time and no company car, just the knowledge you are contributing to the continuation of a free society.  As Islam spreads, and jihad becomes more the norm, and as the sharia creeps steadily across free countries it is vital that information continues to flow.  I am but one man but would like to make the voice a chorus rather than a solo.

The offer is simple, if you would like to be a part of something greater, please contact me, Barry Sommer at whatisislam@ymail.com and put in the subject line "How can I help?" and I will contact you with details.  No pressure, yet without another (or 2) to help I will have to continue to post less frequently than I would like, and will miss some important stories.  I leave the decision to you, my readers and hope be able to continue Islam Today Oregon as a full-service anti-jihad blog.

God bless you, dear reader and stay strong.  We will never give up, we will never give in.

Never.

Pakistan schoolkids taught to kill Christians

I guess reading, writing and arithmetic have become outdated.

From AsiaNews October 19

Pakistan, school textbooks teach its okay to kill Christians

Islamabad ( AsiaNews / Agencies) - The text-books of Pakistani schools pose the killing of Christians as "goal to be sought" that would help the same members of the minority to seek martyrdom for the faith. This is shown by a report published in late September by the Middle East Media Research ( MEMRI ) .

According to research, the texts are common in most public primary schools and even Pakistani Christians and members of other minorities are forced to read and study them. The authors of the books led by the religious leaders have changed the meaning of the term "minority", which is now perceived with negative meaning .

The problem of education in Pakistan emerged strongly in 2011, the year that the government dedicated to the promotion of this issue. In one year, several studies were published which showed that thousands of non-Muslim students are "forced" to study Islam and elements of the Muslim religion, for fear of discrimination. In 2012 the Catholic Church National Commission for Justice and Peace published a report denouncing the law passed by the Punjab Parliament that makes study of the Koran mandatory.

In an interview published by AsiaNews in 2011, Msgr . Lawrence John Saldanha , archbishop emeritus of Lahore ( Punjab ) , said that Pakistan has become a state for "only Muslims." Non-Muslims do not enjoy equal rights.

Hamas PM calls for peace with Israel, recognizes their existence and asks to become a citizen of Israel...wait, what?

Actually the call is for another intifada.  You know, the usual vitriol about killing the Jews, destroying Israel, fire and rage, thousands of fighters...blah blah blah.  The MSM doesn't tell us about the actual goings-on, it's just too uninteresting and besides, killing Jews doesn't seem to bother most journalists these days, right?

Just another day in Jew-hating paradise.

From the IDF Blog October 20

Hamas Prime Minister Calls for Violence against Israel

In a speech last Saturday, October 19, Hamas Prime Minister Ismail Haniyeh called for an end to peace negotiations with Israel, warning that “thousands of fighters above ground and thousands of fighters underground have been preparing in silence for the campaign to liberate Palestine.”

Speaking from the Gaza Strip, Haniyeh called on Arabs and Muslims worldwide to prepare for the“big al-Aqsa Intifada” and warned of the “fire and rage” that Israel will soon endure.

Addressing Israel’s ongoing peace process with the Palestinians, Haniyeh stressed that Hamas would accept nothing less than the “restoration of all of Jerusalem and the establishment of a Palestinian state on the entirety of Palestinian soil, including the return of the refugees to their homeland.”

A pledge to kidnap IDF soldiers

Haniyeh’s speech marked the second anniversary of the release of Sergeant 1st Class Gilad Shalit. In October 2011, Israel freed over 1,000 Palestinian prisoners in exchange for SFC Shalit, who was kidnapped by Hamas terrorists in 2006. The terrorists abducted SFC Shalit by entering Israel through a Gaza smuggling tunnel. Earlier this month, the IDF uncovered the opening of a similar tunnel in Israeli territory. Every day, terrorists from Gaza plan attacks and kidnappings against Israeli soldiers and civilians.

Referring to SFC Shalit’s abduction, Haniyeh remarked that “the prisoner file remains open and will not close until all of the prisoners are released.” On Friday, a senior Hamas official said that the abduction of Shalit will not be the last, stressing that Israel could expect kidnappings in the future.

"The history of the Salafi House of Saud is one of utter destructiveness and malignancy...(and) has undermined every aspect of Islam"

This is why The House of Saud is scared hummus-less of Iran.  Shia theology, based in an apocalyptic end-time scenario is no friend of Sunni, Wahhabi, Salafi or any other Islamic ideology, and those like Saudi Arabia who kowtow to the West are not to be trusted.  Saudi Arabia has stated numerous times that they fear Iran with nuclear weapons.  They are well justified in that fear.

This article is a good example of how dangerous Iran is, and shows concerns by the Saudis as warranted.

From ABNA October 21

Time to break the last idol threatening the house of Allah
(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - After conquering Mukkah, the Holy Prophet of Islam (PBUH) destroyed all the idols which had been placed in the Ka’aba, the House of Allah. As he destroyed one idol after another, he recited the following Koranic verse,

“Say, the truth has arrived, and falsehood perished. Verily, the falsehood is bound to perish”. (Al-Koran, 17: 81).

The Prophet (PBUH) left this world after completing the message of God. But through him (PBUH), God clearly informed humanity that the completion of His message did not mean that there would be no evil in this world. Evil, as the Koran has warned Muslims, will continue as long as humanity exists. There will be people who will remain on the side of Satan. The mission of these diabolical people will be to spread evil by any means. Here is the Koranic reference to it,

(Iblis/Satan) said: “O my Lord! Give me then respite till the Day the (dead) are raised.” (God) said: “Respite is granted thee till the Day of the Time appointed.” (Iblis) said: “O my Lord! Because Thou hast put me in the wrong, I will make (wrong) fair-seeming to them on the earth, and I will put them all in the wrong, Except Thy servants among them, sincere and purified (by Thy Grace).” (God) said: “This (way of My sincere servants) is indeed a way that leads straight to Me. For over My servants no authority shalt thou have, except such as put themselves in the wrong and follow thee.” (15: 36–42)

Thus, as long as humanity exists, there will be people who will bring misery and destruction to the world, and there will certainly be people who will be opposing the wrong-doers.

The history of the Salafi House of Saud is one of utter destructiveness and malignancy since it occupied the land known as Saudi Arabia in 1922. Obsessed by the literalist-fascist interpretation of Islam, the House of Saud has undermined every aspect of Islam. First, it began by destroying the local Sunni and Shia cultures by banning cultural practices of these two sects of Islam. That was followed by physical elimination of the Shias. Interestingly, the source of the Saudi wealth today, oil, is found in the eastern parts of the country which has been a Shia-dominated area. Since the discovery of the oil, the Saudi-Salafi tyrants have been forcing the Shias to move out to other areas. In order to do destroy Shia identity and culture, the Saudis have been imposing one restriction after another on them. They are allowed few human rights. The following article chronicles subhuman conditions in which the Shias of Saudi Arabia have to live:

http://ireport.cnn.com/docs/DOC-1015700

But it is not the Shias who have faced destruction at the hands of the Saudis. The Salafist ideology has single-handedly destroyed everything which stands for Islam. Even the Koran has not been spared by the House of Saud. Calling this subversion of the Koran “the Wahabi Koran”, Stephen Schwartz has noted,

The Wahhabi Koran is notable in that, while Muslims believe that their sacred text was dictated by God and cannot be altered, the Saudi English version adds to the original so as to change its sense in a radical direction. For example, the opening chapter, or surah, is known as Fatiha, and is recited in Muslim daily prayer and (among non-Wahhabis) as a memorial to the dead. The four final lines of Fatiha read, in a normal rendition of the Arabic original (such as this translation by N.J. Dawood, published by Penguin Books): Guide us to the straight path, / The path of those whom You have favored, / Not of those who have incurred Your wrath, / Nor of those who have gone astray.

The Wahhabi Koran renders these lines: Guide us to the Straight Way. / The Way of those on whom You have bestowed Your Grace, not (the way) of those who have earned Your Anger (such as the Jews), nor of those who went astray (such as the Christians). The Wahhabi Koran prints this translation alongside the Arabic text, which contains no reference to either Jews or Christians.

http://www.weeklystandard.com/Content/Public/Articles/000/000/004/653wwewi.asp)

As if the subversion of the Holy Koran was not enough, the Saudis have obstinately been destroying Islamic heritage. Take the house of Bibi Khadija, the first wife of the Prophet (PBUH), for example. This was the place where the Prophet (PBUH) received a number of revelations from God; hence its sacredness. The Saudi have transformed it into public toilets. Yes, public toilets. This is their love for Islam!

Then there is Jannat ul Baqi, the graveyard where the family and friends of the Prophet were buried. The Saudis have wiped the graves out of existence:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NFyVb5IlasU

In their hatred of the Islamic heritage, the Saudis have even bulldozed the grave of Bibi Amina, the mother of the Prophet (PBUH):

Hamas admits to tunneling into Israel to capture IDF soldiers

Hamas Leaders Admit to Building Tunnels to Kidnap Israelis

Hamas leaders confessed on Monday that they had been planning to kidnap Israelis using a recently discovered tunnel system burrowed deep beneath the Israeli-Gaza border, according to reports.

The admission that Hamas is still seeking to kidnap and ransom Israelis has renewed concerns that a new round of violent demonstrations known as an intifada could sweep the region and jeopardize nascent peace talks.

Israeli authorities revealed last week that they had discovered a complex 1.5-mile tunnel system running from the Gaza Strip into a nearby Israeli kibbutz.

Hamas officials came clean about the tunnel on Monday when a senior leader admitted that the terror group was planning to abduct Israelis and ransom them to secure the release of imprisoned Palestinian terrorists.

“This tunnel was made by the hand of the fighters of (Izzadine) al-Qassam and they will not sleep in their efforts to hit the occupation and kidnap soldiers,” Hamas spokesman Abu Obeida was reported as saying on al-Aqsa radio, a Hamas-owned station.

“Kidnapping soldiers is the only way to succeed against the (Israeli) occupation,” Obeida was quoted as saying by the Palestinian Ma’an News Agency.

The Hamas leader vowed to continue efforts to spark violence and kidnap Israelis.

Yet this is the group Obama wants to have as a partner in peace.  What a joke.

9 year old girl sold to 35 year old man for $14,000 in Pakistan

This is not an isolated incident.  Muhammad married Aisha when she was 6 and consummated the marriage when she was 9.  Zahid Zardari was only following the example of his prophet, the right thing for a pious Muslim male to do.

Why there are not more Muslims using Islamic doctrine to dispute this disturbing practice is anyone's guess.  But to guess would, of course make one an Islamophobe.

Child marriage: Minor girl ‘sold’ to suitor

SOBHO DERO: A nine year old girl, W*, was married to 35-year old Zahid Zardari on Thursday, after the groom reportedly paid Rs1.5 million to her family.

W* is a resident of the Kamal Lashari village. Her uncles reportedly requested Zardari to delay the Rukhsati due to Wadhai’s age but were ignored.

The police was informed about the issue but no action was taken due to the groom’s influential status.

When ASI Ghulam Akbar Khaskheli and SHO Fateh Muhammad Awan reached the wedding, they were confronted by Zardari’s men, forcing them to turn back.

Zardari, who lives in district Benazirabad, was accompanied by armed men and aNikahkhwan (vows solemniser) for the ceremony.

CNN lists top 10 terrorists and surprise, they are all Muslim

Will CAIR start their attacks on CNN for demeaning Muslims?  Will any apologist or water-carrier clamour for CNN to retract what they wrote?  Is there one Muslim scholar who can complain that CNN is insulting all Muslims by pointing out those Muslims who are jihadists?

The FBI pulled an ad listing their top 32 terrorists on Seattle Transit buses because Muslims complained.  The American Freedom Defense Initiative (AFDI) applies to run the same ad and Seattle Transit refuses.  Now CNN is playing the game, but they will not be chastised like the others, because they regularly support jihad and the harbingers of sharia.  Besides, it's only the top 10, not the top 32.

Listen for the silence.

From CNN October 10 by Tim Lister

Who are the world's 10 most dangerous terrorists?

(CNN) -- Any compilation of the world's most dangerous terrorists is a hazardous undertaking, a shifting list that's open to endless debate.

If you live in Moscow, Chechen Islamist leader Doku Umarov would feature prominently. Many Israelis would likely include Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah on their list and people living in the southern Philippines, the Abu Sayyaf group.

Some terror figures who were among the most wanted several years ago, such as Abu Anas al Libi -- who was captured last weekend in Libya -- appear not to have been active for some time. Even some terrorists try to retire. The last list compiled by CNN included senior al Qaeda operative Saif al Adel. He has vanished from the radar and may have been under house arrest in Iran.

Other figures lose relevance as their group loses territory, membership and/or funding. Groups such as al Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb have been prone to internal rifts. Additionally, al Qaeda, especially in Pakistan, has moved away from identifying senior operational figures because of the effects of U.S. drone strikes, so some of a new generation of most dangerous terrorist figures may not yet be known to us.

The following selection is intended neither as definitive nor a "league table." It focuses not on organizations but on men (and they are all men) alleged to be plotting, directing -- and in some instances carrying out -- acts of terror aimed at causing mass casualties among civilians.

Some are ideologues and planners, others "operational," and some are both. They think and act in a regional and in some cases a global context. Some of the individuals below have appeared on previous lists compiled by CNN and others, and have lived long enough to warrant a second or third appearance.

Others are only now making a name for themselves among the world's counterterrorism agencies, as they take advantage of conflict or the collapse of state authority, forge new alliances or develop new ways of bringing terror to the international stage.

1. Ayman al-Zawahiri

Despite the whittling away by drone attacks of "al Qaeda central" in the mountainous border region between Afghanistan and Pakistan, the group's leader remains vocal and active in trying to harness the disparate affiliates that claim the al Qaeda name.

Since former leader Osama bin Laden's death in 2011, al-Zawahiri has sought to take advantage of the unrest sweeping the Arab world, and has recognized that groups such as al Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula (AQAP) and al Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb are better placed to carry out attacks than the ever-diminishing core that remains in "Af-Pak." At times, al-Zawahiri has struggled to exercise authority over groups such as the Islamic State in Iraq, not least because of the difficulty in communicating with far-flung offshoots.

Aware that pulling off another 9/11 is a remote possibility, al-Zawahiri has suggested a shift to less ambitious and less expensive but highly disruptive attacks on "soft" targets, as well as hostage-taking. In an audio message in August he recommended taking "the citizens of the countries that are participating in the invasion of Muslim countries as hostages."

Al-Zawahiri, an Egyptian doctor who is now 62, is not the inspirational figure to jihadists that bin Laden was, but he is trying to fashion a role as the CEO of a sprawling enterprise. According to the Economist, he may be succeeding. "From Somalia to Syria, al-Qaeda franchises and jihadist fellow travellers now control more territory, and can call on more fighters, than at any time since Osama bin Laden created the organisation 25 years ago," it wrote this month.

Reward offered by the U.S. government for his capture: up to $25 million.

2. Nasir al Wuhayshi

For someone thought to be about 36 years old,Wuhayshi's terror resume is already extensive. Once bin Laden's private secretary in Afghanistan, he returned to his native Yemen and ended up in jail. But not for long: He and several other al Qaeda operatives dug their way out in 2006. He went on to to help found al Qaeda in Yemen, and began launching attacks on Yemeni security services and foreign tourists, as well as directing an ambitious attack against the U.S. Embassy in Yemen.

He is now the emir of AQAP, widely regarded as the most dangerous and active of al Qaeda's many offshoots. A slight figure with an impish sense of humor, according to some who have met him, Wuhayshi appears to have been anointed al Qaeda's overall deputy leader in a bold move by al-Zawahiri to leverage the capabilities of AQAP. Seth Jones, a Rand Corporation analyst, called the appointment "unprecedented because he's living in Yemen, he's not living in Pakistan."

If al-Zawahiri is al Qaeda's CEO, Wuhayshi appears to be its COO -- with responsibilities that extend far beyond Yemen. It appears that in 2012 he was already giving operational advice to al Qaeda's affiliate in North Africa.

Despite a concerted effort by the Yemeni government and the United States to behead AQAP, Wuhayshi survives, and his fighters have recently gone on the offensive again in southern Yemen. The group is bent on exporting terror to the West -- both through bomb plots and by dispatching Western converts home to sow carnage.

Islam never invents anything important alert: new test detects if you are "Gay"

There you have it.  We now have a test that will show who is gay and who isn't, courtesy the religion that requires homosexuals to be killed, preferably by being thrown off the roof of a tall building or hung from a crane.

The most disturbing aspect of this is that the test has been created in what is called a "moderate" Muslim country, Kuwait, and this test will be used among what are perceived to be the most "moderate" Muslim countries: Bahrain, Kuwait, Qatar, Oman, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates.

This test will be used to ban gays from entering these countries.  Do I hear the crowds of angry gays and their supporters gathering to mass protest this blatant disregard of basic human rights?

...crickets

Gulf states to introduce medical testing on travellers to 'detect' gay people and stop them from entering the country

A medical test being developed by Kuwait will be used to 'detect' homosexuals and prevent them from entering the country – or any of the Gulf Cooperation Countries (GCC), according to a Kuwaiti government official.
GCC member countries – Bahrain, Kuwait, Qatar, Oman, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates – already deem homosexual acts unlawful.
This controversial stance is being toughened, according to Yousouf Mindkar, the director of public health at the Kuwaiti health ministry.
He told Kuwait newspaper Al Rai: ‘Health centres conduct the routine medical check to assess the health of the expatriates when they come into the GCC countries. However, we will take stricter measures that will help us detect gays who will be then barred from entering Kuwait or any of the GCC member states.’
Richard Lane, from gay rights campaign group Stonewall, said: ‘These proposals are not only futile but contrary to international human rights law. Many Gulf states have gone to great lengths to market themselves as open for international business. Their leaders should think long and hard about putting forward measures to restrict freedom of movement and further prohibit the best talent from doing business in the region simply because of their sexual orientation.'

"Think long and hard" is not much of a protestation statement, why not just send a strongly worded memo.  Complaints is just about all that can be done, the gay community knows if they get too strident there could be...consequences.
Those taking part in homosexual acts in Kuwait, if they’re under 21, can receive a jail sentence of up to 10 years.

Earlier this month Oman newspaper The Week was suspended over an article that was deemed to be sympathetic to homosexuals, according to the BBC.
It’s illegal to be gay in 78 countries, with lesbianism banned in 49. Five countries mete out the death penalty to gay people – Iran, Saudi Arabia, Sudan, Yemen and Mauritania.

"These are not the droids you are looking for..."

Homeland Security advisor supports convicted terrorist fundraiser

A senior advisor to the Department of Homeland Security is an old friend of an activist who was convicted in 2008 of financing the terrorist organization Hamas.

In an interview with The Daily Caller, Mohamed Elibiary, a member of the Homeland Security Advisory Council, reiterated claims he made this summer that former Holy Land Foundation president and CEO Shukri Abu Baker is innocent and a victim of political persecution.

Elibiary, who in his position on the council has regular access to classified information, also said the United States insults Muslim dignity and compared the Muslim Brotherhood to American evangelicals.

But there are no closet jihadists in the Obama administration, right?

Elibiary confirmed to journalist Ryan Mauro of the ClarionProject in August that he is a longtime friend of Baker. Mauro’s interview can be read at the Center for Security Policy.

Baker and four other officials of the closed Holy Land Foundation for Relief and Development were convicted of using the charity to finance Hamas in 2008. It was the largest terrorism financing trial in U.S. history. Federal prosecutors described the Foundation, which was closed by the U.S. government in 2001, as an entity of the U.S. Muslim Brotherhood.

Elbiary first disclosed the relationship in a 2007 article in the Dallas Morning News. He met Baker as a teenager and was so moved by the terrorist funder’s explanation of alleged Israeli persecution of Palestinians that he says he began donating monthly to Baker’s foundation until it closed in 2001. The friendship continued, with Elibiary meeting with Baker for coffee the day before he was convicted.

Elibiary maintains that Baker is innocent, and in 2010 he wrote that the U.S. government was “using the law to force compliance with unjust foreign policies.” He reiterated his belief that the U.S. should not have prosecuted the Holy Land Foundation.

The Muslim activist has never disguised his support for Muslim Brotherhood extremism. In a 2006 letter to the Morning News, he defended the fanatically anti-American early Brotherhood leader and theorist Sayyid Qutb, stating, “I’d recommend everyone read Qutb, but read him with an eye to improving America not just to be jealous with malice in our hearts.”

To become the America Qutb recommends, and Elibiary endorses would mean becoming a sharia compliant, Islamo-centric country.  This from a man at the high levels of the Obama White House.

Wonderful.

Seattle Transit refuses to run anti-terror ad that they had previously approved to run

Federal Government--Faces of Terrorism Ad
The original posting

AFDI Ad: Faces of Global Terrorism
The AFDI posting that has been refused

Oh my, what a conundrum we have.  The FBI had placed the original ad that showed their top 32 wanted terrorists.  30 of them were Muslim, and naturally Muslim protested, saying the ad demeaned Muslims and Islam.

Really.

Seattle Transit pulled the ad due to the protests.  Now, the American Freedom Defense Initiative (AFDI) has applied to run the same ad, Seattle Transit refused, now the AFDI through the American Freedom Law Center (AFLC) has filed suit to force the transit system to run an ad they had previously approved.

Seems like a slam dunk, right?  Well, with rampant political correctness and an unwillingness to address the very real Islamic elephant in the room means we will see a fight from Seattle, and more hollow whining about Islamophobia and anti-Muslim bias from the regular water-carriers for Islamic supremacy.

None of that will change the fact that jihad is global, or that it is coming to a neighborhood near you.

From AFLC October 7

Seattle Area Transit Authority Refuses to Run Anti-Terrorism Advertisement for Fear of Offending Muslims; Federal Lawsuit Filed

On October 7, the American Freedom Law Center (AFLC) filed a federal civil rights lawsuit against King County, Washington, for refusing to run an anti-terrorism advertisement that displayed photographs of global terrorists from the FBI’s most wanted list. The lawsuit was filed in the United States District Court for the Western District of Washington at Seattle on behalf of the advertisement’s sponsors, the American Freedom Defense Initiative (AFDI) and its co-founders, Pamela Geller and Robert Spencer.
In June of this year, King County displayed an advertisement submitted by the federal government that depicted the “Faces of Global Terrorism” in an effort to “stop a terrorist” and “save lives.” The advertisement offered “up to $25 million reward” for helping to capture one of the FBI’s most wanted terrorists.
The terrorists identified in the advertisement are also found on the FBI’s most wanted global terrorist list, which is posted on the FBI’s website. This list includes pictures and “wanted posters” for thirty-two terrorists. Not surprisingly, of the thirty-two listed terrorists, thirty are individuals with Muslim names and/or are wanted for terrorism related to organizations conducting terrorist acts in the name of Islam.

Despite these facts, the federal government decided to terminate its “Faces of Global Terrorism” advertisement campaign after receiving complaints from politicians and advocacy groups that the list of wanted global terrorists pictured in the advertisement appeared to include mostly Muslim terrorists.
Appalled at the government’s decision to pull this important message from the public square, on July 30, Geller and Spencer, on behalf of AFDI, submitted an advertisement to King County that included the same pictures, names, and message as the government’s advertisement.
David Yerushalmi, AFLC Co-Founder and Senior Counsel, commented: “Our government’s incessant desire to appease Islamic terrorist apologists like the Council on American-Islamic Relations, a Hamas-Muslim Brotherhood front group operating here in the United States with impunity, is literally placing all American citizens at serious risk. Consequently, if the government won’t identify our enemy, we will make certain our clients can.”

Despite having previously accepted the federal government’s “Faces of Global Terrorism” advertisement, on August 15, King Count rejected AFDI’s advertisement, claiming that it contains (1) “material that is or that the sponsor reasonably should have known is false, fraudulent, misleading, deceptive or would constitute a tort of defamation or invasion of privacy”; (2) “material that demeans or disparages an individual, group of individuals or entity”; and (3) “material that is so objectionable as to be reasonably foreseeable that it will result in harm to, disruption of or interference with the transportation system” in violation of the County’s Transit Advertising Policy.
As a result of this decision, AFLC filed a federal civil rights lawsuit against King County, alleging that the County violated the First Amendment free speech rights of AFDI, Geller, and Spencer; that the County violated the equal protection guarantee of the Fourteenth Amendment by denying AFDI, Geller, and Spencer access to a forum for their speech based on the content and viewpoint of their message; and that the County violated the Due Process Clause of the Fourteenth Amendment in that the County’s speech restriction is unconstitutionally vague and it grants government officials unbridled discretion to restrict speech that they dislike.

Canadian taxpayers and the graffiti jihad

Public money paid for this mural on the wall of a Toronto mosque, and ironically it is a Muslim who is most incensed over the message it sends.

Salim Ahmad who is a member of the Muslim Canadian Congress says the saying, from the Qur'an is a call to jihad.  He has started a petition to have it removed, also claiming that it is a battle cry used by both the Taliban and Al-Qaeda.

Critics of the removal say it is nothing more than an ancient reference to a battle between Muslims and non-Muslims over land and property.  Hmm, sounds familiar in today's world, doesn't it?

The artist says he liked the way the letters looked in graffiti style and chose them for that reason.

Whatever the reasons it looks like this will not end anytime soon.

City probes publicly-funded mural critics say promotes holy war

TORONTO - The City of Toronto is investigating a controversial publicly-funded mural which critics say promotes a holy war against non-Muslims.

The city-funded piece of art on the wall of a building housing the Al-Tawakal mosque on Gerrard St. E., near Greenwood Ave., incorporates a verse from the Qur’an, which is written in Arabic and scrawled in modern, urban-style graffiti.

Critics charge it is a jihadist battle-cry against the West — an assertion disputed by the artist and at least two Toronto academics.

“City staff are currently investigating the concerns raised about this mural,” city spokesman Lynne Kyle said in an e-mail, adding “there was an extensive amount of community consultation that went into the design of the mural and there were no issues raised at that time.”

Taken from a chapter of the Muslim holy book, it is a verse that talks of Allah’s blessing and an Islamic victory of some kind being close at hand.

Salim Ahmad, a member of the Muslim Canadian Congress, has launched a petition calling on Toronto Mayor Rob Ford to remove the contentious image.

“It’s an excerpt from the Qur’an, (and) it is used as a slogan when you’re fighting a jihad,” he said.

In the petition, Ahmad claims the verse is used by both the Taliban and al-Qaida terrorist groups.

The Riverdale Immigrant Women’s Centre (RIWC), located just west of the mosque, applied for a grant and was awarded $17,000 in 2012 for mural projects under a city art program.

Laury Silvers, a part-time professor of Islamic studies at University of Toronto, said the mural’s message has been blown out of proportion.

The verse used in the mural, she added, is based on an ancient Muslim battle with those of polytheistic faith over land and property.

And Adrian Hayles, a non-Muslim artist commissioned to come up with the mural, added Tuesday he chose that Qur’an verse because he was attracted to the look of the Arabic script and felt the English translation conveyed a positive message.

He also said the community was consulted about the project before any paint was put to brick.

I am sure the "community" who were consulted spoke Arabic and saw the words as nothing more than a benign religious edict.

Uh huh.

Qatar: Soccer star statue deemed "unIslamic" and demand for its removal increases

"Who is this Zidane, to be honored with this statue? And what did he do for Qatar? Is it right that anyone who deserves to be honored should be honored against our religion and our creed"

Qatar: citizens protest Zidane headbutt statue as un-Islamic

(ANSAmed) - DOHA, OCTOBER 8 - Qatari citizens have called for Adel Abdessemed's statue ''Coup de Tete'' (Head Butt) to be removed because it is offensive to Islam.

The five-meter statue depicting footballer Zinedine Zidane headbutting Marco Materazzi in the chest during the 2006 World Cup has been placed on the Corniche, a symbolic Doha location.

The statue is an invitation to idolatry, and Islam forbids making statues and depicting animals and people, protesters claimed. ''We want a legitimate fatwa from the Ministry of Islamic Affairs against this statue! Because statues are not allowed in Islam and Zidane's action was unethical'', one commentator wrote on Twitter.

''Who is this Zidane, to be honored with this statue? And what did he do for Qatar? Is it right that anyone who deserves to be honored should be honored against our religion and our creed?'' wrote another.

In this conservative Islamic country that practices sharia or Koranic law, citizens don't understand why the government has decided to erect a statue of two men, which is also a violation of Islamic principles.

Here is but one of many hadiths where Muhammad tells why pictures or art is forbidden in Islam;
"Narrated 'AishaI stuffed for the Prophet a pillow decorated with pictures (of animals) which looked like a Namruqa (i.e. a small cushion). He came and stood among the people with excitement apparent on his face. I said, "O Allah's Apostle! What is wrong?" He said, "What is this pillow?" I said, "I have prepared this pillow for you, so that you may recline on it." He said,
"Don't you know that angels do not enter a house wherein there are pictures; and whoever makes a picture will be punished on the Day of Resurrection and will be asked to give life to (what he has created)?"  (
Hadith -Bukhari 4:47)
