Newt Gingrich has always had my respect in the political arena. His Georgian drawl and that southern down-hominess makes him easy to listen to. I agree with a lot of what he espouses but like all humans he is fallible and has made mistakes but over all, I believe him to be a good person. With a run for Prez likely in 2012 we will hear more and more from the man, this particular piece is but one area the Newt will address.
Gingrich has been a vocal critic of pure Islam as it is practiced by some Muslims, and he makes no bones about what should be done. He views our lack of a realistic definition of our enemy as being based in Islam a fundamental flaw in our strategic thinking. He is correct to call Obama on thisand his insistence we call the enemy what is it: Islam as defined by Muhammad and the Qur'an.
We can no longer afford to deny what is right there in front of us, that jihad and terrorism are the same. We must say this in public, that is what Gingrich expects. It is the least we, as Americans deserve from Obama.
