Egypt: Islamist claims victory in election

A new day is dawning in Egypt, and may God help us for what is about to be unleashed.

Islamist claims victory in Egypt presidential vote

CAIRO – Islamist candidate Mohammed Morsi declared victory Monday in Egypt's first free presidential election since Hosni Mubarak's ouster 16 months ago. But just as polls were closing, the ruling military council issued constitutional amendments that gave sweeping authority to maintain its grip on power and subordinate the nominal head of state.

After the last-minute power grab Sunday night, the ruling Supreme Council of the Armed Forces (SCAF) pledged Monday to honor its promise to hand over power to the newly elected president by the end of this month. But the constitutional amendments stripped the president of almost all significant powers. The military decreed that it will have legislative authority after a court dissolved parliament, it will control of the drafting a new constitution and will not allow civilian oversight of its significant economic interests or other affairs.

Morsi represents the Muslim Brotherhood, an Islamic fundamentalist group which has emerged as the most powerful political faction since the uprising. The Brotherhood's Freedom and Justice Party rejected the constitutional declaration, saying it was no longer within the authority of the military council to issue such a decree with less than two weeks left for the transfer of power.

In Washington, Pentagon spokesman George Little urged the ruling military to transfer full power to a democratically elected civilian government, as it pledged to do in the past.

"We are deeply concerned about the new amendments to the constitutional declaration, including the timing of their announcement as polls were closing for the presidential election," said Little.

The constitutional declaration made almost simultaneously with polls Sunday night was the third major blow in a week to hopes for a democratic transition that arose from the uprising. On Wednesday, the military gave itself broad powers to arrest civilians even on minor offenses such as traffic violations. And on Thursday, a court stacked with Mubarak-era appointees dissolved parliament.

The Freedom and Justice party also rejected the dissolution of parliament.

"The People's Assembly stands and has legislative and oversight authority," the party said in a statement posted on its website.

Maj-Gen. Mohammed al-Assar, a senior member of the ruling council, said the generals would transfer power in a "grand ceremony." He did not give an exact date or mention Morsi by name. He said the new president will have the authority to appoint and dismiss the government and that the military council has no intention of taking away any of the president's authorities.

"We'll never tire or be bored from assuring everyone that we will hand over power before the end of June," al-Assar told a televised news conference.

Though official results have not yet been announced, the Brotherhood released a tally that showed Morsi of the Muslim Brotherhood took nearly 52 percent of the vote to defeat Mubarak's last Prime Minister Ahmed Shafiq with about 48 percent in a very close race. The count was based on results announced by election officials at individual polling centers, where each campaign has representatives who compile and release the numbers before the formal announcement.

The Shafiq campaign rejected Morsi's claim of victory and accused him to trying to "usurp" the presidency or lay the groundwork to challenge the official result if it shows Shafiq winning.

"What the other candidate has done threatens Egypt's future and stability," said the statement, adding that initial indications show that Shafiq is undoubtedly ahead with between 51.5 to 52 percent.

If Morsi's victory is confirmed in the official result expected on Thursday, it would be the first victory of an Islamist as head of state in the stunning wave of pro-democracy uprisings that swept the Middle East the past year...

Syria: 9,000 Christians flee ahead of Islamic persecution

"Christians must leave Qusayr within six days, which expires this Friday."

From RT.com June 14

Syrian Islamist opposition casts out Christians

The Christian minority in Syria is facing a growing threat and thousands are being forced to flee their homes as they face harassment and discrimination from radial Islamist factions of the opposition.

At least 9,000 Christians from the western Syrian city of Qusayr were forced to seek refuge after an ultimatum from a local military chief of the armed opposition, Abdel Salam Harba, Fides news agency reports.

In the latest outburst of violence a Christian man was shot dead by a sniper in Qusayr, which neighbors the restive city of Homs.

There have been reports last week that some mosques in the city have announced from the minarets: "Christians must leave Qusayr within six days, which expires this Friday."

Two Catholic priests who fled Qusayr confirmed to the news agency that they heard the ultimatum "with their own ears" repeated from the minarets.

"The situation is unsustainable in the area and exposed to total lawlessness," Fides sources on the ground say. They also fear that the fate of Christians in Qusayr could soon affect the 10,000 believers who live in other villages in the area.

The areas controlled by the opposition are witnessing the rise of radical forms of Sunni Islam with the extremists not willing to live in peace with the Christians.

Nigerian Update: June 18

A big one this time, adding dozens to the list of those loved to death by the religion of peace.

No surprise that it was two churches targeted.  Christians are the number one prey in Nigeria but they are starting to flee in droves.  Soon we may not have articles like this, simply because there are no more Christians in Nigeria.

Nigeria: Dozens dead in church bombings and rioting

Officials said at least 16 people died and dozens were injured in the blasts.

Some 20 more people were killed in later rioting apparently targeting Muslims, aid workers and witnesses said.

Kaduna state authorities have imposed a 24-hour curfew as soldiers and police try to restore order.

No-one has yet claimed responsibility for the blasts, but Kaduna state has previously seen attacks by the radical Islamist group Boko Haram.

Last week the group attacked two church services, sparking violence which killed seven people. Hundreds have died in its previous attacks on churches.Revenge attacks

Nigeria's National Emergency Management Agency said two of the blasts happened in the Wusasa and Sabon-Gari districts of Zaria.

Wusasa is the site of the first church to be built in northern Nigeria.

A third blast reportedly hit the nearby city of Kaduna...

Hamas rocket attack against Israel done at the behest of the Muslim Brotherhood

The group Obama insists are "moderate" and not a threat asked Hamas to launch rockets against Israel.  Unbelievable the level of betrayal being shown by our fearless leader in supporting the genocidal jihadists of the Muslim Brotherhood, the group who has said they will destroy us from within.

If Obama is re-elected we are doomed.

Officials: Hamas ordered Grad attack on Israel at request of Muslim Brotherhood

Israeli security officials say that the rockets that landed on Friday in the area near Ovda and Mitzpeh Ramon, were launched after a request by senior leaders of the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt.

According to these officials, the rockets were launched from the Sinai Peninsula by a Bedouin unit, according to Hamas orders, even though Hamas itself wasn't the initiator of the launching, but responded to the request of the Brotherhood, who wanted such an event on the eve of the second round of presidential elections in Egypt. It is yet unclear why the Brotherhood requested such an unusual action, a first military strike against Israel, or whether the strike was aimed at specific sites in the area.

So far, the Muslim Brotherhood leaders have presented a moderate stance towards Israel in their talks with the international community, stressing that they had no intention of annulling the peace accords, a position reiterated by presidential candidate, Mohamed Morsi. Still, in the buildup to the elections, Brotherhood speakers have been known to speak fiercely against Israel.

In one gathering, in the beginning of May at El-Mahalla El-Kubra, Brotherhood leaders promised, in the presence of Morsi, that the object of the Brotherhood is to liberate Jerusalem.

The main speaker at that gathering, Sifwat Hijazi, said that Morsi would liberate Jerusalem and that the Brotherhood's dream was the creation of the "united Arab nations," with Jerusalem as its capital. "Our capital won't be Mecca or Medina, but Jerusalem, millions of shahids will march on the city" shouted Hijazi, "the whole world should know - and we say it clearly - our goal is Jerusalem, we shall pray in Jerusalem, and if not - we shall die as martyrs on its ruins."

Another speaker that day said that "tomorrow Morsi will liberate Gaza." A singer sang: "The Jews will not be able to sleep, come, lovers of martyrs, you're all Hamas. Take on arms, and prepare for prayer."

Two Grad rockets fired into Israel, no casualties reported

Feel the love.  Two more messages of peace and brotherhood landed in Israel recently, thankfully no one was around to receive them.

From AFP/Yaoo June 16

Rockets fired into southern Israel: army

Israeli sappers on Saturday recovered the debris of two rockets fired into the south of the Jewish state, a military spokesman said.

"Soldiers have found on Saturday the remains of a rocket, apparently a Grad, near the town of Mitzpe Ramon," said the spokesman without specifying from where the rocket was fired.

Earlier on Saturday, the spokesman had said debris of another rocket fired late Friday was found.

"Last night, an explosion in the Arava valley was heard, and this morning we recovered the remains of a device we have now identified as a Grad-type rocket," the spokesman told AFP.

"An investigation into the attack has now begun."

Television quoted military sources as saying said both rockets had been fired from the desert in Egypt's Sinai Peninsula.

The desert Arava region extends from the south of the Dead Sea to the Red Sea resort city of Eilat.

A Grad rocket exploded near Eilat at the beginning of April, without causing any casualties, and another unexploded Grad was later found in the same area.

Anti-Muslim hatred reason for mosque denial in Minnesota, CAIR demands DOJ investigate

The denial was based in zoning concerns; the mosque wanted to build in an industrial area which is not zoned for religious activities. That is for residential zoning, but the mosque wants a variance. The city council denied the request as per zoning laws, and now the Muslims and CAIR want the DOJ to investigate it as a hate crime. Lori Saroya, president of the Minnesota chapter of CAIR says, "This is the first one [in Minnesota] where we’re seeing so much anti-Muslim hate involved." Really? FBI stats show Jews are far more likely to suffer from anti-religious bias than Muslims, but dear Lori wants us to believe that we are all anti-Muslim and that is the reason for the denial.  The same rhetoric, the same lies, the same obfuscation so we do nothing about creeping sharia and stealth jihad.

Not here, not now, not ever.

This is an update from a previous story.

MINN. CITY REJECTS ISLAMIC CENTER — AND NOW CAIR WANTS THE DOJ TO INVESTIGATE

The Minnesota chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) is calling on the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) to investigate a possible “anti-Muslim” hate crime after St. Anthony City Council almost unanimously rejected plans for a new Islamic center due to zoning concerns.

On Tuesday, St. Anthony City Council voted 4-1 against providing a conditional use permit for the “Abu-Huraira Islamic Center” after tabling the item for months, the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports. It is reportedly the first time in seven years that an Islamic place of worship has been blocked by local government in Minnesota.

“This is the first one [in Minnesota] where we’re seeing so much anti-Muslim hate involved,” said Lori Saroya, president of the Minnesota chapter of CAIR.

The imam of the Islamic center, Sheik Ahmed Burale, said his congregation, which consists of roughly 200 people, still wants the St. Anthony location and may take the council to court over its decision, according to the Star Tribune.

There were reportedly “several residents” who criticized Islam and at least one called the religion “evil” and one that condones violence.

On Wednesday, CAIR circulated this press release:

CAIR-MN is asking federal authorities to determine whether the denial of land usage for the Islamic center constitutes a violation of the Religious Land Use and Institutionalized Persons Act (RLUIPA).

RLUIPA protects religious institutions from unduly burdensome or discriminatory land use regulations. RLUIPA and the Minnesota Constitution ban zoning restrictions that impose a substantial burden on the religious exercise of a person or institution unless the government can show that it has a compelling interest for imposing zoning restrictions and that the restriction is the least restrictive way for the government to further that interest.“We ask the DOJ to use the full measure of its authority to launch a thorough investigation into the recent denial of the proposed Abu-Huraira Islamic Center,” wrote [Saroya].

Saroya said CAIR-MN is also asking DOJ officials to meet with St. Anthony Muslim leaders.

The Islamic center will also reportedly get some help from the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) in future court proceedings if there are any. The group regularly jumps at the chance to defend Islamic groups.

Judging from news reports, the majority of St. Anthony residents appeared to be against the Islamic center.

“You don’t live in the area, why are you looking in this area?” St. Anthony resident George Kaczor asked during the council meeting. “Why don’t you build in your own community?”

Another resident, Rob Lundeen, said there are “no pluses at all in letting this mosque in our city.”

“It’s a lose lose situation,” he continued. “If we get used by the ACLU, so be it. The ACLU doesn’t win them all. Let’s stand up for every little community and not be bullied.”

Victory! Jihad conference cancelled in Chicago, no new venue announced

The calls and emails did the trick.  The Khilafah Conference, titled "Revolution: Liberation by Revelation - Muslims Marching Toward Victory" is officially cancelled, says a spokesman for Hizb ut-Tahrir.  This is a victory, albeit a small one, but one that shows that the forces of democracy, freedom and liberty can, and should make sure these kinds of gatherings are met with loud voices of protest.  Hizb ut-Tahrir is not a designated terrorist organization but their goal is the destruction of Israel and the rise of the next worldwide caliphate.   I guess since they have not attacked the US or done anything inside our borders they are considered a "moderate" Muslim group by our fearless leader.

Uh huh.

From the Daily Herald June 13 by Madhu Krishnamurthy

Islamic conference won't be in Rolling Meadows

An Islamic conference scheduled for this weekend in Rolling Meadows is searching for a new venue, after The Meadows Club was flooded with calls and emails from conservatives demanding the event be canceled.

Organizers of the Khilafah Conference 2012, titled “Revolution: Liberation by Revelation — Muslims Marching Toward Victory,” have not yet found an alternate place to host it in the Chicago area, said a Hizb ut-Tahrir America spokesman.

Organizers were expecting roughly 1,000 attendees to hear speakers discuss topics such as the causes, motivations and reasons for revolutions; the revolution in Syria; and forms of governance such as an Islamic state, secular state, and democracy.

It caught the attention of conservative commentators and political activists Pamela Geller and Robert Spencer, co-founders of Stop Islamization of America, who launched a campaign against the conference through Spencer's website, Jihad Watch, and Geller's blog, Atlas Shrugs.

Minnesota congresswoman and former Republican presidential candidate Michelle Bachmann, speaking at last week's Conservative Political Action Conference in Rosemont, called on President Barack Obama to “shut down” the conference because of possible terrorist ties.

Meadows Club owner Madan Kulkarni said the club was bombarded with calls and emails, many of which warned there would be protests.

“Phone lines were starting to get jammed,” Kulkarni said, who added they are still getting “tons” of emails.

“With other events scheduled on that day and the possibility of protests, it was not the best position for us to be in. In this kind of economy, we can't afford any picketing.”

Kulkarni consulted with the Rolling Meadows police chief but decided the cost of having police officers work overtime to provide additional security was too high. He said organizers agreed to his request to cancel the event, saying they did not want to inconvenience the club.

Hizb ut-Tahrir America is part of a worldwide political movement advocating Muslims to return to the Islamic way of life and for the re-establishment of an Islamic caliphate governed by Shariah or Islamic law in predominantly Muslim countries.

The call is not to bring that here to this country or anything of that sort,” said Reza Iman, a Chicago area spokesman for Hizb ut-Tahrir America. “The message is for Muslim countries to return to Islamic values."

Liar.  If it is so important for Muslim countries to return to Islamic values, why is he calling on American Muslims.  Shouldn't he be preaching to Muslims in Muslim countries to return to Islamic values?  Hmmm...

“The [Obama] administration’s position that Daniel cannot receive even this minimal discovery about the location of Iranian assets prevents him from even attempting to recover his judgment against Iran”

The Obama administration thinks that giving out information on the whereabouts of Iranian assets in the US is wrong, and is fighting to keep those assets out of the hands of those who sued and won a 71.5 million dollar award against Iran for their support of Hamas and the deaths caused by a homicide bomber almost 10 years ago.  I must ask; just which side is Obama on?  Is there any reason that the administration would block victims of Iran and Hamas from getting their just rewards?  I can think of only one, and it is not pretty.  Obama cares more about our enemies than the people who elected him to be POTUS.

Disgusting.

US gov’t opposes forcing Iran to reveal assets

Lawyers for American victims of a Hamas triple suicide bombing who successfully sued Iran for damages have slammed the US Department of Justice’s backing of a court ruling preventing the plaintiffs from obtaining information about Iran’s US-based assets, The Jerusalem Post learned this week.

The lawsuit, Rubin v. The Islamic Republic of Iran, first made headlines in 2003 when the US District Court in Washington, DC, awarded 33-year-old American Daniel Miller and other victims seriously wounded in the attack $71.5 million in compensatory damages from Iran.

The court ruled that Iran was responsible for the attack, because it had provided funding and training to Hamas.

However, in the nine years since that ruling, Miller and the other plaintiffs have been unable to obtain justice from the Islamic Republic, because the Iranian government has refused to pay out the damages.

In an odd twist of events, the lawsuit has led to accusations recently that the US government is supporting Iran by filing court briefs in support of Tehran’s decision to hide its assets and avoid paying Miller and the other victims.

After the 2003 court ruling awarding them compensation from Iran, Miller and the other plaintiffs served the Islamic Republic with a request to produce documents regarding all of its US-based assets.

Iran, which had previously refused to appear in US court, immediately hired a lawyer and sought a protective order to shield its US assets from the terror victims’ discovery requests.

Eventually, the US Court of Appeals ruled in favor of Iran and concluded that the terror victims could not obtain information about all Iranian assets in the US, and that instead they could only seek discovery about specific Iranian property.

In what is set to be a landmark decision this month, the US Supreme Court is expected to decide by June 25 whether to review the Court of Appeals ruling denying Miller access to information about Iranian assets.

Late last month, in a move that has provoked anger among terror victims, the US Department of Justice filed an amicus brief to the Supreme Court, arguing that the Court of Appeals ruling was correct.

“Compelling a foreign state to produce extensive material pertaining to its assets may impose significant burdens and impugn the state’s dignity, and may have implications for the United States’ foreign relations,” the Department of Justice brief reads.

Theodore Olson, a former US solicitor-general and the lawyer representing Miller, slammed the US government over its position on the matter, saying it was “aiding and abetting Iranian terrorism by supporting Iran’s attempts to conceal its assets,” because Congress had passed laws permitting terrorist victims to sue state sponsors of terror as a way to deter terrorism.

“It is outrageous that the [US] State Department would support Iran’s efforts to evade a judgment properly entered by a United States court in favor of American citizens,” Olson told the Post.

Olson said that the question of whether Iran financed the Hamas terrorist attacks that devastated Miller’s life and those of his fellow victims was not in dispute.

“Iran is unquestionably liable to pay the victims of its crimes, but it has made every effort to avoid paying by repeatedly concealing its assets,” he said.

“The victims in our case simply seek what every other judgment creditor is entitled to obtain: The identity and location of the judgment debtor’s assets,” he added.

Olson said Miller and the other victims faced a “critical difficulty,” in that they cannot begin attachment proceedings to obtain the damages they were awarded, if they are unable to locate Iranian assets in the US.

“The [Obama] administration’s position that Daniel cannot receive even this minimal discovery about the location of Iranian assets prevents him from even attempting to recover his judgment against Iran,” Olson told the Post.

The issue of victims of Iranian- sponsored terror being unable to locate Iranian assets to pay US court rulings against the Islamic Republic extends far beyond the case of Rubin v. The Islamic Republic.

Courtroom victories by victims of terror against Iran have highlighted the extent to which the Islamic Republic funds Palestinian terror in Israel and neighboring territories.

Last month, the US District Court awarded a $332m. judgment against Iran and Syria to the family of a 16-year-old boy, Daniel Wultz, who died of horrific injuries in a 2006 Hamas suicide bombing in Tel Aviv.

In March, the same court awarded two victims of the 1983 US Marine barracks bombing in Beirut $44.6m. in damages from Iran.

In 2007, a US federal judge ruled in a separate lawsuit, Peterson v. Iran, that Iran must pay $2.65 billion to the families of servicemen killed in the Beirut attack, the largest nonnuclear explosion on earth at that time.

However, although plaintiffs in all these cases have actively sought Iranian assets that could be seized to pay the court-awarded damages, they have so far been unsuccessful.

At the same time as lawyers for the Rubin v. Iran plaintiffs are fighting their case in the US Supreme Court, other terror victims and their supporters are pushing forward a bipartisan bill which would subject Iranian assets to US court jurisdiction, thereby releasing them to pay against judgements of lawsuits brought against the Islamic Republic.

Gulf: Clampdown on sorcerers and witchcraft
(ANSAmed) - DUBAI, JUNE 11 - In the shadow of the enormous skyscrapers in Dubai, symbols of modernity and innovation, old superstitions and black magic are still popular in the Emirate's intricate multicultural social web. At least according to the amount of ''material for witchcraft'' impounded by the border police: 92 cases in one year. Witchcraft is punishable with imprisonment in the United Arab Emirates, but in other Gulf states, like Saudi Arabia, culprits can even get the death penalty. Yesterday two Asian men were arrested at the airport when some bizarre and illegal objects were found in their luggage: texts containing magic spells and rituals, talismans, animal hides and bones, containers holding blood and other liquids, strings and strange rings: 1200 objects, classifiable in 28 categories, in total. ''Magic and witchcraft are dangerous practices that jeopardise society, manipulating the minds of people with problems,'' commented Ali Al Maghawi, director of customs operations, underlining that people's credulity is often used for fraud.

Women are often the easiest victims according to statistics. Islam explicitly forbids ''learning, teaching and practicing magic'' as well as consulting magicians, fortune-tellers, wizards and the likes because they go against the will of Allah, the only one to decide on the destiny of each individual....

Great question: why is the current administration buddies with the Muslim Brotherhood?

Congresswoman Michele Bachmann MN and Congressmen Trent Franks AZ, Louie Gohmert TX Tom Rooney FL and Lynn Westmoreland GA have send letters of demand to the Inspectors General of the Office of the Director of National Intelligence as well as the Departments of Defense, Homeland Security, JUstice and State demanding to know why there is cooperation and dialogue between the Muslim Brotherhood and the Obama administration. A very important question, and one which deserves no less than national attention, The answer will determine how and if we will rise to the occasion of protection and security based in the knowledge of Islamic texts and knowing just who the perpetrators are.

If it is a little fuzzy as to the exact danger, if any the Muslim Brotherhood poses to the US, here is their motto;  "Allah is our objective. The Prophet is our leader. The Qur'an is our law. Jihad is our way. Dying in the way of Allah is our highest hope."

Any questions?

From Michele Bachmanns official website June 13

House Members Seek National Security Answers from Inspectors General
Today, Congresswoman Michele Bachmann (MN-06) and Congressmen Trent Franks (AZ-02), Louie Gohmert (TX-01), Tom Rooney (FL-16) and Lynn Westmoreland (GA-03) sent letters to the Inspectors General of the Office of the Director of National Intelligence, the Department of Defense, the Department of Homeland Security, the Department of Justice and the Department of State. These letters seek answers about the U.S. government’s involvement with the Muslim Brotherhood, a group that calls for "civilization jihad."

In the letter, Bachmann, Franks, Gohmert, Rooney and Westmoreland questioned the Inspectors General about the direct influence within the intelligence community of Muslim Brotherhood operatives. They explained that the U.S. government in federal court has established that the group’s mission in the U.S. is "destroying the Western civilization from within." The members went on to request that the respective offices of the Inspectors General conduct a formal investigation or evaluation of the extent to which Muslim Brotherhood-tied individuals or entities are involved.

"The national security of our country depends on getting straight answers from the Inspectors General to the questions we posed in these letters," said Bachmann. "The Muslim Brotherhood is not shy about their call for jihad against the United States. We seek answers through these letters because we will not tolerate this group and its affiliates holding positions of power in our government or influencing our nation’s leaders."

"Evidence indicates that this administration continues to bow before groups associated with the goal of ‘destroying Western civilization from within,’ and about whom the 5th Circuit Court of Appeals has found that there is plenty of evidence indicating that they support terrorism," said Gohmert. "For departments of this administration to continue meeting with such groups and agreeing to further blind our government agents charged with looking for enemies wanting to destroy us is at best foolhardy. At a minimum, we need an independent inspection regarding the role, the roots and the results of such destructive groups within this administration. Our enemies have been identified; now we need to know what they have done to our ability to protect ourselves."

"The Muslim Brotherhood openly calls for violence against the United States, but we’re learning that this organization may be infiltrating our ranks, even within our military," said Rooney. "We need our top security agencies to investigate thoroughly the degree to which members of this organization are active in our defense and intelligence communities, and what impact that has on our national security."

"We must always stay vigilant when fighting against those who want to destroy our way of life," said Westmoreland. "The Muslim Brotherhood may not have the name recognition of al-Qaeda or the Taliban, but that does not mean they don't have the potential to be just as deadly. I'm hoping these letters will send the message to our country's intelligence, law enforcement and diplomatic agencies that we cannot ignore the Muslim Brotherhood and must look into their operations and membership with the seriousness that is necessary in order to root them out of our government."

Founded in 1928, the Muslim Brotherhood’s motto reads, "Allah is our objective. The Prophet is our leader. The Qur'an is our law. Jihad is our way. Dying in the way of Allah is our highest hope."

Signers of the letter serve on the Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence (Bachmann, Rooney and Westmoreland), the Armed Services Committee (Franks and Rooney) and the Judiciary Committee (Franks and Gohmert). Additionally, Gohmert is the Vice Chair of the Judiciary subcommittee on Crime, Terrorism and Homeland Security.

Copies of the letters are available here: Office of the Director of National Intelligence, the Department of Defense, theDepartment of Homeland Security, the Department of Justice and the Department of State.

Gaza kindergartners taught to murder Jews

God help us, these kids are 5 years old!  My disgust for how Islam treats children is deep and strong.  Each time I read of an instance where kids are being inculcated to hate Jews (and non-Muslims) by using Islamic doctrine I cry.  This is child abuse and deserves nothing less than global scorn and ridicule.  Unfortunately too many people have bought the historical lies perpetuated by Islam against Israel and Jews from the PA, Hamas, Fatah, Hizbollah and others, so I am afraid we will continue see innocent children raised to be cannon fodder for Muhammad and Allah.

No outcry by the West over this, only continued cries of "Islamophobia" against the likes of people like me who dare to point out the truths of Islam.

Kindergartners defending Al-Aqsa mosque

Children attending a kindergarten in Gaza that is run by Islamic Jihad celebrated their graduation by dressing up in army attire, waving toy rifles and chanting anti-Israel slogans.

"It is our obligation to educate the children to love the resistance, Palestine and Jerusalem, so they will recognize the importance of Palestine and who its enemy is," the kindergarten's director said.

The children were dressed up in uniforms of Jihad's armed-wing, the al-Quds Brigades, and each of them received a toy rifle. Some of them held up photos of Islamic Jihad founder Fathi Shaqaqi.

The event was attended by the children's relatives, some of whom belong to Islamic Jihad and other armed Palestinian factions.

During the ceremony the children were asked to stand next to mock coffins draped with flags of the various armed factions. The flags bore the images of "shahids (martyrs)."

One child, Hamza, said "When I grow up I'll join Islamic Jihad and the al-Quds Brigades. I'll fight the Zionist enemy and fire missiles at it until I die as a shahid and join my father in heaven.

"I love the resistance and the martyrs and Palestine, and I want to blow myself up on Zionists and kill them on a bus in a suicide bombing," he said.

The world stands silent against this great depravity yet we claim we love our kids.  Really?

Here are two articles which highlight how Islam does what is wants, and the expectation Islam has that American law will bow to Islamic hegemony.  There are over 2,000 mosques in the US, most built since 9-11.  Islamic doctrine calls for mosques to be built in lands which have been occupied by Muslims.  The 9-11 attack is seen by Islam as the opening salvo, and the mosques are the expansionist dogma dictated by Islamic texts and tenets.  Keep these articles in your mind, as well will see more of this as Islam expands across America.

MEGA-MOSQUE LEADERS DEFY THE LAW

On May 30, a Tennessee judge struck a blow for freedom, ruling that construction of a mega-mosque in rural Murfreesboro, Tenn., had to stop. Yet despite this court ruling, the Islamic Center of Murfreesboro is defying the order and working furiously to build the mega-mosque. Bomb threats have even been made to the courthouse of Chancellor Robert Corlew, who issued the ruling. Nonetheless, warriors for freedom are fighting on and have filed an injunction to stop construction.

These Islamic supremacists behind the Murfreesboro mosque (a mosque board member has posted pro-Hamas material to his Facebook page) are defying American law as they continue to build at a more furious pace, once again demonstrating their contempt for American jurisprudence and adherence to the Shariah. This is an Islamic pattern. We saw this same contempt for American law when Islamic supremacists behind the Muslim Brotherhood rabat in Sheepshead Bay, Brooklyn, violated court orders to halt construction of their own mega-mosque on quiet, residential Voorhies Street.

And just as in Brooklyn, Murfreesboro’s dhimmi city officials refuse to enforce the law. In Murfreesboro, David Jones, director of building codes enforcement, has continued to state “no comment,” but has refused to issue a stop-work order. Is someone greasing his dirty palm?

Opponents of the mosque in Rutherford County have filed for an injunction seeking to stop construction. They state that they have “grown weary with the local government’s derelict response to the chancellor’s order. … [I]t’s inconceivable that the Islamic Center of Murfreesboro continues to ignore the chancellor’s order. Although they have proclaimed to be law-abiding citizens, their assertion is hollow. Ignoring the laws of Tennessee is no longer acceptable from the County government or the Islamic Center of Murfreesboro.”

Even worse, the day after the judge’s ruling, the Rutherford County judicial building was evacuated due to a bomb threat. A search of the building was conducted while officials blocked off the street and the area surrounding the building.

Was the bomb threat related to the ruling? Perhaps – but we will probably never know, because local “journalists” aren’t making any effort to find out. They clearly don’t think it’s news.

Who decides what’s news and what’s not? If a bomb threat had been made to the Murfreesboro mosque, the American people would have been beaten to a pulp with it. Who decides which bomb threat is newsworthy?

You won’t hear anything about the bomb threat, but Islamic apologists and their left-wing tools were rabid over the judge’s ruling. The Hamas-tied Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) called on the Justice Department to step in and order the mosque to be built. Hamas-tied CAIR staff attorney Gadeir Abbas said: “The judge’s ruling is apparently based on a fictitious heightened standard for public notice when Muslims are involved.” It’s fictitious to Hamas-CAIR, as their law is the Shariah. American jurisprudence is “fictitious” to Islamic supremacists.

The left-wing media were just as bad. They wield talk of tolerance and multiculturalism like clubs to suppress free speech. (Show me one Islamic country that is tolerant of anyone or anything.) They ignore the legitimate concerns of the community while crying racism (Islamic supremacism is not a race). The Huffington Post went so far as to run the judge’s name in their headline. When have you seen that before? Talk about putting a target on someone’s back. The Huff Po knows what they are doing when they do that. Real journalists would be investigating the mosque leaders’ ties to the Muslim Brotherhood. According to the most recent and comprehensive study, the empirical evidence showed an overwhelming number of American mosques teach, advance, promote violent jihad as dictated by Islamic teaching...

Council Votes Down Permit for Islamic Center in St. Anthony

The St. Anthony City Council has voted down a conditional use permit that would have allowed a former Medtronic building to be used for an Islamic center.

Tuesday evening's 4-1 vote against the permit came after a roughly two and a half hour hearing that drew nearly 100 people, most of them against the project.

The Abu-Huraira Islamic Center had requested a conditional use permit that would have allowed them to move into the first floor of the former Medtronic building, located off of Old Highway 8. The building is currently zoned light industrial and city code only lets places of worship exist in residential areas.

The city issued a four-month moratorium to study the zoning issue, prompting the (Hamas-linkedCouncil on American Islamic Relations to accuse the council of intentionally slowing the process due to community opposition.

City officials say it is strictly a zoning issue because keeping the property as industrial would generate more taxes for the city.

Ahead of Tuesday's hearing, an attorney for the Islamic center said the group could file a lawsuit against the city for discrimination if the permit isn't approved.

Veiled threat noted.

The permit had previously been approved by the city's Planning Commission.

Banda Aceh: 20 churches to be demolished

Not only is sharia law being used to stop women from wearing tight clothes, it is now the bludgeon with which to force the closing of 20 churches.  I am sure, any minute now a Western Islamic apologist will be winging their way across the ocean to explain to the Muslims there that they have misunderstood the words of the Qur'an and have Islam all wrong.

Hooper?  Aslan?  Esposito? Mogahed?  Anybody??

20 churches in Aceh face threat of demolition

Twenty churches in Singkil regency, Aceh, have been closed down and are likely to be demolished by the local administration.

According to a lawmaker from House of Representatives Commission III on human rights, Eva K. Sundari, the commission received complaints about the forced closure of 20 churches from the United North Sumatra Alliance on Monday.

The core of the problem is the contradictory regulations between the 2007 gubernatorial decree on the guidance of the construction of houses of worship and the 2006 joint ministerial decree governing the construction of houses of worship.

“Under the ministerial decree, a house of worship can only be built if it has secured the approval of 90 worshipers while the gubernatorial decree requires the approval of 150 worshippers,” Eva said Tuesday as quoted by kompas.com.

The ministerial decree also requires the approval of 60 local residents of different faiths.

Worse still, Eva said, was a local edict that forbade Muslims from approving the construction of houses of worship other than mosques, which made it impossible for the churches to fulfill the requirements.

Not only have new churches been forced to close but also the Pakpak Dairi Protestant Church, which was established in 1932. It too is likely to be demolished, she said.

“Guidance from the home minister is needed so that the local consultative forum and the police can be fair and neutral for all citizens and not bow down to intolerant groups,” she said. (iwa)

Egypt: Christian students talk Christ to Muslim students, riots break out

One would think that with all the talk about rampant democracy and emerging secularism in Egypt the conversation between Christian and Muslim could now be done in an atmosphere of respect and tolerance.

Boy am I wrong.

Sectarian fights over proselytizing injure 12 at Assiut University

Clashes broke out Saturday between Muslim and Coptic students in the Assiut University women’s dorms after a Coptic student reportedly proselytized Christianity to Muslim students, leaving 12 students and supervisors injured.

A Coptic law student had distributed proselytizing leaflets and booklets in university dorms with her friend, an engineering student, a security source said.

The booklets they handed out were titled “The Lord invites you” and “Salvation Ship.” They also gave pictures of some Christian figures to Muslim students in their rooms and in the building’s study hall. The law student also encouraged them to convert to Christianity.

These actions raised the ire of Muslim students,” the security source said.

Yet if Muslims try to convert Christians there is nary a peep of protest.  I wonder why that is...

The students and supervisors who were injured were trying to resolve the dispute, the source said. They sustained injuries to their heads.

Art Jihad in Tunisia

As democracy gallops across Tunisia the art world trembles.

Protesters damage ‘offensive’ artwork in Tunisia

Protesters have damaged several works of art at an exhibition in Tunisia, in what appears to have been the latest in a series of attacks by Islamic religious hardliners on liberal or secular targets.

A group of men broke into the venue in the northern suburbs of Tunis overnight Sunday-Monday, slashing several canvases and dismantling one art installation, said the show’s director Luca Luccatini.

Earlier Sunday, several men believed to be ultra-conservative Salafist Muslims had turned up presenting themselves as a lawyer and bailiffs and demanding that four works judged “offensive to sacred values” be taken down, he said.

“We called the police because their behavior was aggressive and they threatened to come back,” said Luccatini.

Supporters of the art exhibition later faced off with a group of bearded men dressed in the style of Salafists outside the gallery, which was broken into after it had closed for the day.

As well as the paintings that were destroyed, one installation, called “The Ring” -- which showed the faces of Tunisian women, Jewish and Christian, painted on punching balls -- was dismantled and removed, Luccatini told AFP.

Mali: sharia enforced, Christians flee and women hide

It is not a fluke that when Islam rises, other groups, rights and freedoms quickly retreat.  It works because it is what Islam does best, and that is intimidate until submission.  We can add Mali to the list of countries who have made back in time to the 7th century, no small feat, and not one to be proud of, either.

Christians, Women Victims as Islamic Forces Implement Sharia Law in North Mali

06/07/2012 International Christian Concern (Washington D.C.)-Radical Islamists in control of northern Mali are enforcing a strict version of Sharia law that victimizes Christians, women and other vulnerable groups. The radicals took control of northern Mali in April after ousting the armed forces of the government of Mali.

There is no strict version of sharia, it is what it is on a very level field.  Islamic doctrine does victimize women, Christian and other groups but that is the normative Islam, not some juiced-up version with little grounding in accepted Islamic theology.

“All the Christians have left Timbuktu (the main city in north Mali) because of the Sharia law as well as because of the presence of people linked with al-Qaeda,” said a Christian leader who fled from northern Mali. “According to the Islamists, women cannot mix with men and can’t ride on motorcycle with men. Women must also wear veils.”

Islamic rebels are enforcing the strict Sharia law by lashing women who failed to comply with the rules. They also have imprisoned other alleged violators of the Sharia law.

The West African country of Mali has been in political crisis after two rebel groups took over the northern part of the country. The rebel group called the National Movement for the Liberation of the Azawad (NMLA) is a secular group fighting for independence of north Mali. The other group, Ansar Dine, is an Islamic group with links to al-Qaeda. On May 26, the two groups agreed to merge and form an Islamic state in north Mali.

A "secular" Muslim group and a "Islamic" group join forces to create a Northern Mali Islamic state.  Don't hold your breath for a "moderate" state to emerge with this merging.

Buddhists and Muslims clash in Myanmar, government declares state of emergency

When Muslims feel they have sufficient power they start to agitate, usually in the form of attacks and bombings.  In Myanmar (formerly Burma) the local Muslims are now in process of stirring trouble with the Buddhists, and despite the reputation of being peaceful, Buddhists can be as vicious and ruthless against their enemies as anyone.  Therefore we will see clashes of bloodshed and mayhem until either Muslims get what they want, or they are driven out.  The latter is unlikely as Islam has been a staple of the region for hundreds of years and is going nowhere.  Muslims will eventually get their way, as we are now seeing in Egypt, Algeria, Tunisia, Libya, Nigeria, Mali, Indonesia....

State of emergency declared for western Myanmar

YANGON, Myanmar (AP) — Myanmar's president has declared a state of emergency in a western state where sectarian tensions between Buddhists and Muslims have unleashed deadly violence. He warned that if the situation spun out of control, it could jeopardize the democratic reforms he has been instituting since taking office last year.

It is the first time Thein Sein has invoked the measure since becoming president. A state of emergency effectively allows the military to take over administrative functions for Rakhine State, a coastal region that borders Bangladesh.

The move follows rioting on Friday in two Rakhine areas that state media say left at least seven people dead and 17 wounded, and saw hundreds of houses burned down. The unrest spread on Saturday and Sunday, though order was said to have been restored in the areas shaken by Friday's violence.

In a nine-minute speech televised nationally Sunday night, Thein Sein said that the violence in Rakhine State was fanned by dissatisfaction harbored by different religious and ethnic groups, hatred and the desire for vengeance.

"If this endless anarchic vengeance and deadly acts continue, there is the danger of them spreading to other parts and being overwhelmed by subversive influences," he said. "If that happens, it can severely affect peace and tranquility and our nascent democratic reforms and the development of the country."

The accounts in state media blamed Friday's rioting in Maungdaw and Buthidaung townships on 1,000 "terrorists," but residents' accounts made clear they were Muslims. The unrest seemed to be a reaction to the June 3 lynching of 10 Muslims by a crowd of 300 Buddhists. The lynch mob was apparently provoked by leaflets discussing the rape and murder last month of a Buddhist girl, allegedly by three Muslim men.

The violence reflects long-standing tensions in Rakhine state between Buddhist residents and Muslims, many of whom are considered to be illegal settlers from neighboring Bangladesh. Myanmar's government does not recognize the Muslims in the area, who term themselves Rohingyas, as one of the country's national minorities. Although the basic problem is a local one, there is fear that the trouble could spread elsewhere because the split also runs along religious lines.

Turkey complains, US kicks Israel out of counter-terrorism conference

With Obama meeting with Hamas-linked CAIR hundreds of times, is it any wonder they would kowtow to Turkish demands that Israel be excluded from a conference on terrorism?  The only democracy in the Middle East and the one firmly in jihadist cross-hairs is not allowed to participate in a conference that they above all else should be attending, because of Turkey's demands.

Kamal Attaturk is spinning in his grave about now at how his beloved Turkey has been hijacked by the religion of peace.

US Ousts Israel From Counterterrorism Forum

The United States blocked Israel's participation in the GlobalCounterterrorism Forum's (GCTF) first meeting in Istanbul on Friday, despite Israel's having one of the most extensive counterterrorism experiences in the world.

Israel was excluded from the meeting due to fierce objections by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, a Washington-based source toldGlobes news.

According the State Department’s website, the GCTF, which was established in September 2011, aims at “strengthening the global counterterrorism (CT) architecture in a manner that complements and reinforces the CT work of existing multilateral bodies.”

Twenty-nine countries are participating in the GCTF, ten of which are Arab and/or Muslim countries.

"The GCTF sought from the outset to bridge old and deep divides in the international community between Western donor nations and Muslim majority nations. And it has, I think, done that quite effectively," a top US official said at the press briefing prior to the opening session.

Yes it has, and has done so by keeping Israel away from any discussion of their own defense.
