The level of rage against Pastor Jones and Rapp for their daring to set fire to the word of Allah is almost too much to believe. Muslims in Afghanistan, that bastion of democracy we created are murdering and plundering in a manner similar to the cartoon riots of a few years ago. They blame us for their anger and would rather kill than take responsibility for their own feelings and reactions. They have a choice to not lash out, the choice to do so is, of course firmly rooted in the Qur'an and hadiths.
It is not up to us to make people feel good about themselves, that is a personal responsibility within each of us. Muslims are the only ones who see fit to throw a fit when a perceived slight has occured. Islam will hate us no matter what we say or do, we are non-believers and until we convert, pay the jizya or fight for our lives we are fair game in the eyes of the worlds largest victimized group.

A suicide attack also hit a NATO military base in the capital Kabul, the day after protesters over-ran a United Nations mission in the northern city of Mazar-i-Sharif and killed seven foreign staff, in the deadliest attack on the U.N. in Afghanistan.
Some protesters in Kandahar carried white Taliban flags and shouted slogans including "long live the Taliban" and "death to America." In rioting that lasted hours, they smashed shops, burned tires and vandalized a girl's high school.
Two of the dead were Afghan policemen, an official said.
(.)The protesters were driven by anger at the actions of extremist Christian preacher Terry Jones who supervised the burning of the Koran in front of about 50 people at a church in Florida on March 20, according to his website.
In an interview with Reuters on Saturday, Jones was unrepentant and defiantly vowed to lead an anti-Islam protest outside the biggest mosque in the United States later this month.

Koran-burning sparks deadly retribution
Outraged by the burning of a Koran in the United States, rioters attacked a United Nations compound in the northern Afghanistan city of Mazar-i-Sharif on Friday, leaving at least seven foreigners and four Afghans dead after an hour-long rampage and raising troubling questions about the capacity of the Afghan police to maintain law and order.
Mazar-i-Sharif, a prosperous city run by a strongman governor, has been considered among the few relatively peaceful places in Afghanistan. Only 10 days ago, it was named as one of the first four provincial capitals where local security forces will assume full responsibility for security beginning this summer.
The attack occurred as crowd of some 2,000 men marched past the compound in an organized protest against the burning of a Koran two weeks ago by a fringe Florida pastor, Terry Jones.
Most Afghans, lacking access to international news and the Internet, learned of the incident just this week from local media after President Hamid Karzai publicly condemned the Koran-burning.
There is lots more in each story, reas them all.

Guns don't kill people. People holding smoking guns in their hands while pointing the finger at the guy who voiced his honest opinion; they're the ones who kill people.
When a Florida pastor burns a Koran it is an outrage, an offense to all Muslims everywhere, & to show their love for God/Allah, Muslims torture, murder innocents, burn and rampage. American & European liberals cry racism, demand that the pastor be brought to justice & our politicians question the wisdom behind freedom of speech. When an American throws a Bible into the toilet or immerses a crucifix in a jar of urine, that is called "ART" & liberals everywhere applaud the "artists" daring vision, and his ability to "think outside the box". No one dies, no buildings are torched, foreigners aren't murdered and outside of a few people complaining about the "artwork", nothing much happens. The press touts the artist as a visionary and calls the people opposed to the "artwork" "DANGEROUS" Christian Fundamentalists.
Somehow I just don't get it? While I condemned the actions of this pastor, I am sick to death of Muslim "rage" and Muslim "outrage".
