The Specter of Islam

A specter is haunting America, the specter of Islam... The two brothers responsible for Boston bombings were Muslims. Is anyone really surprised ?
What we have is a fifth column in America, each and every Muslim who lives in the United States. Obviously not because each is capable of acts of terror; that clearly is not true. What is true, however, is that all true-believer forms of Islam, which means all forms of Islam with few exceptions --primarily some Sufi groups and Ahmadiyyat-- rely exclusively on the core text of their religion, the Koran, for their deepest and most sincerely held moral values. And the Koran is filled with passages that promote hatred of non-Muslims and also filled with passages that promote violent jihad as the preferred way of dealing with kufirs --"infidels." This means you and me and your family and friends and neighbors and the vast majority of your fellow citizens.
I know all about the qualifications we might make. However, it all boils down to one fact more than any other : Those Muslims who take the Koran most to heart, who actually have read Muhammad's book, know very well that their religion incites lethal violence against non-Muslims, that their religion demands that non-Muslims should be intimidated into submission to Islam, and that all non-Muslims are regarded as inferiors deserving, at most, begrudging second class status in society, a status with various liabilities as part of the order of things,or, in other cases, non-Muslims are regarded as deserving death.
Hence the bomb blasts in Boston just days ago.
We are fortunate that most Muslims have never read the Koran except maybe a few passages here and there. But do you really want to bet your life on this situation continuing forever ? What happens when most Muslims have read the Koran ? Two additional points to make : ( 1 ) The preferred narrative of the media and the Obama administration, to the effect that Islam is a peaceful religion that has been hijacked by extremists who misrepresent Muhammad's faith, is based on almost as much ignorance of the Koran and of historical ( real world ) Islam as typifies most Muslims generally. It also fits in with the pattern in America of most Christians and Jews being unfamiliar with all but the most well-known for-the-public themes found in the Bible, missing most ( most ) that is normally regarded as essential to any kind of authentic faith. The media and the White House, in other words, have vested interests in everyone's ignorance. The media and White House want to protect the preferred status of ignorant people in determining public policy toward Islam. Do I need to repeat this principle ? Let me say the same thing in somewhat different words : Journalists --with almost no exceptions-- and our highest elected officials, also with very few exceptions, are essentially ignorant of the true nature of Islam. Rather than making themselves informed, they go to extreme lengths to double down on the false narrative about Islam that, so far, they have been able to con most people into accepting as "truth." This is all based on nothing but ignorance. ( 2 ) Others have a vested interest in "saving face." This is to refer to majorities of the population. They, too, are basically ignorant of Islam even if, compared to 2001, not nearly as many as was true back then. In the case of the majority, however, clearly, at a minimum, 2 out of 3 people, because they are clueless about religion in general and Islam in particular, they reflexively "explain" violent actions by Muslims with reference to what they do know. Hence the "real" reasons for the Boston bombings is said to be the "troubled backgrounds" of the bombers, or psychological quirks due to their being alone in America as immigrants with no families to relate to, or because of difficult economic circumstances, or because of bad influences from popular culture, and on and on, ALL of which misses what is most essential to the case for all Jihadists : Their fervent beliefs in Islam, their desire to be committed Muslims, and their absolute faith in the Koran as Allah's ( God's ) actual presence on Earth in the form of his words enshrined in book for all humanity to worship as the Final Truth.
Sorry if you have never studied religion, sorry if you regard religion as obsolete and beneath your dignity to take seriously, and sorry if you follow some secular ideology that regards religion as irrelevant, but the fact is that some people take religion very seriously, indeed, and also the fact is that this reality is a social phenomenon that merits serious research just as much as any other mass scale social phenomenon. That is, if you are ignorant of religion, and in this case especially about Islam, then you are in the same position as someone during the Cold War who was ignorant of Marxism, or of someone in the 1940s who was ignorant of the realities of Fascism. The solution is unmysterious : Make yourself informed.
Despite a large number of good or even excellent books in the years since then, the very best place to start is with Ibn Warraq's 1995 opus, Why I Am Not a Muslim. It is absolutely essential reading for anyone who wants to become seriously informed about Islam. Muslims are, in fact, a Fifth Column in the United States. They are a threat to all of us even though most Muslims may be personally disinclined to violence. The point is that their religion teaches and demands violence against non-Muslims and all true-believers among Muslims take this deadly seriously. Islam should have no place in American society. It is subversive by its very nature. It is unlike all other religions on Earth except for a few violent cults. However, what it is, is a large scale version of something like the Jonestown cult, or the murderous Aum Shinrikyo cult of Japan, or other criminal cults.
Exactly what will it take to wake up people to this fact ? Wasn't 9/11 enough ? Now we have a 21st century Boston massacre. Not to mention other massacres in Mumbai, London, Madrid, Bali, and still other places. Islam is the enemy religion to all other religions. It is time to acknowledge this truth and start to act accordingly.

Anzor Tsarnaev spoke to ABC News from his home in the Russian city of Makhachkala as Boston police carried out an intense dragnet for his son Dzhokhar Tsarnaev. Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, 19, survived a running gun battle with police during the night that left an MIT security officer dead and a Boston cop badly wounded. His older brother died in the shootout. The father said he spoke to his sons by phone earlier this week. "We talked about the bombing. I was worried about then," Anzor Tsarnaev said. He said his sons reassured him, saying, "Everything is good, Daddy. Everything is very good." The elder Tsarnaev insisted that his sons were innocent, but said he would appeal to his son to "surrender peacefully." "Give up. Give up. You have a bright future ahead of you. Come home to Russia," the dad said. The father warned, however, "If they killed him, then all hell would break loose." Then the story turns to the obligatory "He was such a nice guy" statements that the mainstream media always includes in stories about jihadis: "He never seemed out of the ordinary at all," high school classmate Sierra Schwartz told "Good Morning America" today. "This is not someone who seemed troubled in high school or shy. He was just one of us. It's very weird." Steven Owens told ABC News, "I met him when I was in seventh grade and he was just a great kid. He was fun to be around. Very studious, very smart. I don't remember a time when he was ever having trouble in school. He was a great athlete. Great to be around." Owens said Tsarnaev "always had a positive attitude," but had expressed some political opinions in school. "He always thought the war [Iraq, Afghanistan] was stupid," Owens said. "He didn't enjoy the idea of war. We didn't really talk about it much. The only time it ever really came up was when we were learning about it in school." When Owens first saw authorities' photos of Tsarnaev, he wasn't positive it was him since he hadn't seen him in a few years. "I started looking through my yearbook because I thought I recognized him and there he was," Owens said. "I was just so surprised."... As more and more material comes to light about the pair, their motivations become clear. On a _Russian-language social media page_ (http://vk.com/id160300242) , Dzhokhar features a drawing of a bomb under the heading “send a gift,” and just above links to sites about Islam. _Tamerlan’s YouTube page_ (http://www.youtube.com/user/muazseyfullah/videos?flow=grid&view=15) features two videos by Sheikh Feiz Mohammed. According to a report published in _The Australian_ (http://www.news.com.au/national-news/police-seize-muslim-kill-enemies-videos/story-e6frfkw9-1111112861925) in January 2007, in a video that came to the attention of authorities at the time, Mohammed “urges Muslims to kill the enemies of Islam and praises martyrs with a violent interpretation of jihad.” _Tamerlan also says_ (http://deadspin.com/heres-everything-we-know-about-tamerlan-tsarnaev-the-476415081http:/deadspin.com/heres-everything-we-know-abo ut-tamerlan-tsarnaev-the-476415081) , “I’m very religious.” He notes that he does not drink alcohol because Allah forbids it: “God said no alcohol,” and that his Italian girlfriend has converted to Islam. Even his name indicates the world from which he comes: Tamerlan Tsarnaev is apparently named for the Muslim warrior Tamerlane. _Andrew Bostom wrote in 2005_ (http://www.americanthinker.com/2005/10/killing_from_quranic_piety_tam.html) that “ Osama bin Laden was far from the first jihadist to kill infidels as an expression of religious piety….Osama lacks both Tamerlane’s sophisticated (for his time) military forces and his brilliance as a strategist. But both are or were pious Muslims who paid homage to religious leaders, and both had the goal of making jihad a global force.” Combine all that with the fact that the bombs were _similar to IED’s that jihadis use in Afghanistan and Iraq_ (http://www.nytimes.com/2013/04/17/us/officials-investigate-boston-explosions.html?pagewanted=all) , and that Faisal Shahzad, who tried to set off a jihad car bomb in Times Square jihad car bomber,_ used a similar bomb_ (http://www.jihadwatch.org/2013/04/boston-bombs-were-similar-to-ieds-used-by-jihadisin-afghanistan-and-iraq.html) , and that instructions for making such a bomb have been published in al-Qaeda’s _Inspire_ (http://www.breitbart.com/Big-Peace/2013/04/16/Pressure-Cooker-Bomb-Construction-Detainled-in-al-Qaeda-s-Inspire-Magazine) magazine, and the motivations of the Tsarnaev brothers are abundantly clear. It is increasingly likely also that they were tied in somehow to the international jihad network, as is indicated by how they fought off Boston police early on Friday with military-grade explosives – where did they get those? And where did they get the military training that they reportedly have, and displayed in several ways during the fight Friday morning? Yet despite all this, the mainstream media continues to obfuscate the truth. _NBC doesn’t see fit_ (http://usnews.nbcnews.com/_news/2013/04/19/17824210-suspects-in-marathon-bombings-are-brothers-authorities-say?lite) to mention any of the brothers’ connections to Islam in their profile of them. _CNN warns_ (http://www.cnn.com/2013/04/19/us/boston-area-violence/index.html?hpt=hp_t1) that “it should not be assumed that either brother was radicalized because of their Chechen origins.” And this, of course, follows days of speculation about how the bombings appeared to be the work of “right-wing extremists,” “Tea Partiers,” and the like. According to Victor Medina in the _Examiner_ (http://www.examiner.com/article/cnn-esquire-blame-the-right-wing-for-boston-marathon-bombing) , “Esquire Magazine’s _Charles P. Pierce attempted to link the bombings to right wing extremists similar to Timothy McVeigh_ (http://www.esquire.com/blogs/politics/boston-marathon-bombing-041513) , the Oklahoma City bomber. In anothe r, _CNN national security analyst Peter Bergen speculated that the type of bomb device could link it to right wing extremist groups_ (http://www.breitbart.com/Breitbart-TV/2013/04/15/CNN-Natl-Sec-Analyst-Speculates-Right-Wing-Extremists-Could-Be-Behind-Marathon-B ombing) .” _Salon hoped_ (http://www.salon.com/2013/04/16/lets_hope_the_boston_marathon_bomber_is_a_white_american/) that the bomber would turn out to be a “white American.” Will Pierce, Bergen, and all the others who offered similar analyses apologize now? They almost certainly will not – and even worse, they will not be held accountable. But characteristically for the mainstream media, they're missing the point (probably willfully): the Boston Marathon jihad bombings were not a strike of the "Chechen insurgency," which has never hit America before, but of the global Islamic jihad, which has struck in America before. The suspects were identified by law enforcement officials and family members as Dzhokhar and Tamerlan Tsarnaev, ethnic Chechens with ties to the Russian region. There was no immediate information of their links, if any, to any insurgent group. Tamerlan Tsarnaev, 26, was killed in a gun battle with police in Massachusetts overnight, officials said. His 19-year-old brother escaped. Before moving to the United States, Dzhokhar Tsarnaev lived briefly in Makhachkala, the capital of Dagestan, a predominantly Muslim republic that has become the epicenter of the Islamic insurgency that spilled over from Chechnya. On his page on the social networking site VKontakte, Tsarnaev said he attended School No. 1 from 1999 until 2001. The principal of School No. 1 in Makhachkala, Irina Bandurina, told the AP that Tsarnaev left for the U.S. in March 2002. The suspects' father, who lives in Makhachkala, told the AP his younger son was a second-year medical student and "a true angel." The conflict in Chechnya began in 1994 as a separatist war, but quickly morphed into an Islamic insurgency dedicated to carving out an independent Islamic state in the Caucasus. Russian troops withdrew from Chechnya in 1996 after the first Chechen war, leaving it de-facto independent and largely lawless, but then rolled back three years later following apartment building explosions in Moscow and other cities blamed on the rebels. Chechnya has stabilized under the steely grip of Kremlin-backed local strongman Ramzan Kadyrov, a former rebel whose forces have been accused of massive rights abuses. But the Islamic insurgency has spread to neighboring provinces, with Dagestan, sandwiched between Chechnya and the Caspian Sea, becoming the epicenter of violence with militants launching daily attacks against police and other authorities. Militants from Chechnya and neighboring provinces have carried out a long series of terror attacks in Russia, including a 2002 hostage-taking raid in a Moscow theater, in which 129 hostages died, a 2004 hostage-taking in a school in the southern city of Beslan that killed more than 330 people, and numerous bombings in Moscow and other cities. The Obama administration placed Chechen warlord Doku Umarov on a list of terrorist leaders after he claimed responsibility for March 2010 double suicide bombings on Moscow's subway that killed 40 and a November 2009 train bombing that claimed 26 lives. In recent years, however, militants in Chechnya, Dagestan and other neighboring provinces have largely refrained from attacks outside the Caucasus. Russian officials and experts have claimed that rebels in Chechnya had close links with al-Qaida. They said that dozens of fighters from Arab countries trickled into Chechnya during the fighting there, while some Chechen militants have gone to fight in Afghanistan.... "Police seize Muslim 'kill enemies' videos," by Simon Kearney and Tracy Ong for _The Australian_ (http://www.news.com.au/national-news/police-seize-muslim-kill-enemies-videos/story-e6frfkw9-1111112861925) , January 20, 2007: FIREBRAND cleric Sheik Feiz Mohamed's defence of his comments on a DVD calling children to jihad has been undermined by revelations, the video also urges Muslims to kill the enemies of Islam and praises martyrs with a violent interpretation of jihad. In the DVD, which runs for almost four hours, Sheik Feiz describes inmates of Guantanamo Bay as better Muslims than those in Australia, who would would not forsake their lifestyles for martyrdom. "The brothers in Cuba are better than us," he said. "They are being examined through the best examination (a reference to God's judgment) and the like of them worldwide." The sheik, who left Australia in 2005 to live in his father's homeland, Lebanon, exorts his followers to seek the honourable death of the believer, quoting from narrations about the prophet Mohammed. "They fight in the cause, they kill others - the enemies who fight Islam and they themselves are killed as martyrs," he said. He gives the example of a mujaheddin who fought in Bosnia in the 1990s who spoke of nothing but jihad and was killed on the battlefield. "What a beautiful person to be associated with. Would you not like to be an associate of this person?" The DVD was a recording of a series of passionate fire-and-brimstone sermons that told his audience over several weeks nearly four years ago his thoughts on the way to live their lives. "This is our intention that we want to have children and offer them as soldiers defending Islam, loving Islam," he said. Details of the DVD's contents have sparked an Australian Federal Police investigation and have been met with condemnation. AFP officers visited the Muslim youth centre founded by Sheik Feiz yesterday to collect a copy of his DVD, which was handed over voluntarily by members of the 4000-strong youth movement. The two federal agents who arrived at the Global Islamic Youth Centre at Liverpool, in Sydney's west, declined to comment on the investigation. About 200 worshippers were at midday prayers yesterday because Friday is Islam's holiest day of the week. The centre's managers referred The Weekend Australian's inquiries to a phone number, which rang out. One of Sheik Feiz's former students, Zeky Mallah, who was acquitted of terrorism charges, said the sermon was normal. "That's something that's normal with any Islamic scholar. It's just a way of speaking about things," he said. Sheik Feiz told The Australian on Thursday that his reference to jihad did not mean violence. He said he was against suicide bombing and violence against others. However, the DVD is littered with references to violence and a call to arms - most of which is made using examples of historical warriors as an admonishment to modern Muslims for straying from their path. "If you're a hardliner, you'll say these in lectures; if you're a moderate, you'll keep these views to yourself," Mr Mallah said. "It's not really inciting violence. It is saying to stand up for yourself, to defend yourself and defend your land." Muslim internet forums were buzzing with criticism of the media for running the story yesterday, accusing news outlets of misinterpreting the meaning of jihad, which can also mean a peaceful quest to be a good Muslim.... (CBSDC/AP) — Police are locking down some neighborhoods in Boston and its western suburbs and all public transportation service has been shut down as authorities search for the remaining suspect in the marathon bombings. The surviving bombing suspect has been identified as Dzhokhar A. Tsarnaev, 19, of Cambridge, Mass. Authorities urged residents in Watertown, Newton, Waltham, Belmont, Cambridge and the Allston-Brighton neighborhoods of Boston to stay indoors. The announcement Friday morning comes hours after the killing one suspect, known as the man in the black hat from marathon surveillance footage. The man in the white hat is on the loose and police are calling him a “terrorist” who came here “to kill.” Both bombing suspects are from a Russian region near Chechnya, a source tells the Associated Press. The men have lived in the United States for at least one year. President Barack Obama has been briefed on the overnight developments at the White House. A massive manhunt remains underway for the man police believe is the “white hat” suspect in the Boston Marathon Bombing and the other suspect is dead following a wild turn of events that began late Thursday. “We believe this to be a terrorist,” said Boston Police Commissioner Ed David. “We believe this to be a man who’s come here to kill people. We need to get him in custody.” The Middlesex district attorney said the two men are suspected of killing a Massachusetts Institute of Technology police officer on campus late Thursday, then stealing a car at gunpoint and later releasing its driver unharmed. Hours earlier, police had released photos of the marathon bombing suspects and asked for the public’s help finding them. A new photo of the suspect on the loose was released later showing him in a grey hoodie sweatshirt. It was taken at a 7-Eleven in Cambridge, just across the river from Boston. The first images were released hours after President Barack Obama and first lady Michelle Obama attended an interfaith service at a Roman Catholic cathedral in Boston to remember the bombing victims. Authorities say the suspects threw explosives from the car as police followed it into Watertown. The suspects and police exchanged gunfire, and one of the suspects was critically injured and later died at a hospital while the other escaped....
