Forget Purell hand sanitizer, just ban handshakes

No matter when I think I have seen it all, I haven't.  As was asked in movie "Team America", "have you ever seen a man eat his own head?"  Well, no, so that means I really have not seen it all.  I will let you know when I see a man eating his own head, however.

Somalia bans everything.  Whatever is seen as un-Islamic or Western is banned, from pants to cultural haircuts.  It should come then as no surprise to see this latest attempt to impose stricter forms of sharia, in the form of inappropriate physical contact between male and female.

Somali Islamists ban men, women from shaking hands

MOGADISHU — Al-Qaida-linked militants in war-torn southern Somalia have banned unrelated men and women from shaking hands, speaking or walking together in public, residents said Saturday. People who break the rules could be imprisoned, whipped or even executed.

The "killer" touch, indeed.

The insurgents already have banned women from working in public, leaving many mothers with a terrible choice: risk execution by going to sell some tea or vegetables in the marketplace, or stay safely at home and watch the children slowly starve.
