Federal Lawsuit against the Ground Zero Mosque by ACLJ

The American Center for Law and Justice (ACLJ) yesterday (Jan 12) asked the New York Supreme Court to issue an injunction against the Ground Zero mosque developers.  The ACLJ wants any and all construction stopped, and they allege that Mayor Bloomberg, and others went beyond their capacity as officials inregards to the $150M project.

It is interesting that since this has started, the amount of controversy surrounding the project has just gotten more and more intricate.  Allegations of slumlord tactics against renters, owed back rent/taxes, lying about the intent of the mosque, and if there would even be one at the site, the thuggish tactics of Sharif el-Gamal and his statement that beating people up is a great way to relieve stress, all this and much more serves to highlight why the ACLJ wants a piece of Bloomberg and the proponents of the mosque.

Rauf, Kahn, Gamal and all involved are as dirty as the Sopranos, the ACLJ is right in going after them and hopefully expose more of the Islamic underbelly these people have created.

The ACLJ is my counsel against LCC and their decision to cancel my "What is islam" class and fire me as the instructor.  They are a great legal group, fighting for free speech and our constitutional rights, while at the same time going after Islam and those who have fallen under their spell.  They deserve our respect and support in their battle against our enemies.

Legal Group Seeks Injunction to Halt Mosque Near Ground Zero

NEW YORK – A conservative legal group asked the New York Supreme Court on Tuesday to halt construction of the Islamic cultural center near ground zero.

The American Center for Law and Justice, which represents 9/11 first responder firefighter Tim Brown in a lawsuit against the Park51 project, is seeking an injunction in any demolition and construction at the downtown Manhattan site.

The group alleges that Mayor Michael Bloomberg and his office overstepped their legal boundaries in assisting the developers of the $100 million project.

Court filings revealed several emails between Bloomberg's office and the Park51 developers.

In one email, Imam Feisal Abdul Rauf, who is spearheading the project, wrote to a commissioner of the Community Affairs Unit in the mayor's office thanking her for drafting a letter to the Lower Manhattan Community Board 1 advocating for the project.

ACLJ counsel Brett Joshpe also asked the court to grant discovery in the case, noting that the mayor's office has not fully responded to the group's Freedom of Information Law request for communications between Bloomberg, the New York City’s Landmarks Preservation Commission, and the Islamic center's developers.

Be the good and faithful dhimmi, Bloomberg, and see just how far that get's you.
