It may not have been part of the reason we went to war against Saddam Hussein, but yellowcake uranium is essential in the producing of nuclear power and nuclear bombs. Iran needs as much as it can get because we all know they have a great demand for electrical power.
That was sarcasm, by the way. In reality this deal will give the regime of Robert Mugabe lots of money, and Iran lots of nuclear material to play with. The end result will not be beer and skittles.

Zimbabwe is to defy United Nations sanctions in a deal to sell uranium to Iran
Simbarashe Mumbengegwi, Zimbabwe's foreign minister, said the sanctions – which prohibit member states from providing Iran with raw materials that it could use to make a nuclear weapon – were unfair and hypocritical.
