Women not allowed to watch sports TV in Iran

The fun things to do in Iran are slowly being prohibited, and those who suffer the most are women.  The problem, from Islam's perspective, with women and TV, especially regarding soccer is that they are distracting and would cause the men to exhibit "inappropriate behavior."  Now wouldn't you think that being covered by the burqa would preclude any behavior deemed haram(forbidden) in Islam?
In Iran, live soccer matches are shown at local movie theatres, and women have been able to watch and cheer.  Not any more.

Women soccer fans in Iran may be banned from live broadcasts

Iranian authorities have ordered a ban on women from watching live broadcasts of soccer matches at public movie theaters, the semi-official ILNA news agency reported.

A state police agency that monitors Iranian businesses called for the ban because "the presence of women and families at movie theaters increases security risks and inappropriate behavior," ILNA reported.

Women are already banned from attending live matches in Iran.  This just adds icing to an already bitter cake.

'Women not allowed to watch sports tv in Iran'. An example of the oppression of women in an Islamic country, of which you can find many on this site. What you can't find is headlines like "girls are not allowed to be prostitutes in Malaysia" (in contrast to neighbouring Thailand). Sommer makes no attempt to find counter-examples. He's not a genuine researcher. He just accumulates 'evidence' which appears to prove his case.
