Muslims have, for a while now taken over streets in Paris to pray. They claim there is no room in their mosques so they are forced to go outside and pray. The French government does not allow prayer in public, and every other denomination abides by the rules.
Not Muslims, not in Paris. They are victims if not allowed to practice Islam wherever and whenever they choose, and to hell with Western secular law. This is a slap in the face to French culture, this is agitation for rights above everyone else.
This is Islam.

Muslims defy outdoor prayer ban in France
Beano, anyone?
PARIS -- Hundreds of Muslims defied a French ban on outdoor prayer -- which came into force Friday --and took to the streets and sidewalks of Paris to pray.
The French government announced Thursday it was banning praying outside, with officials pledging to enforce the ban from Friday.
But 200 Muslims ignored the ban and prayed on the streets in the neighborhood of La Goutte d'Or, Le Parisien newspaper reported.
French interior minister Claude Gueant said he had nothing against Islam but wanted it out of the public eye because France was a secular state.
He added, "Street prayers must stop because they hurt the feelings of many of our compatriots who are shocked by the occupation of the public space for a religious practice."
Although officials would persuade people to pray in mosques, Muslims who continued to pray in the street would be arrested, Gueant warned.
The ban angered French Muslim leaders who said Muslims only prayed outdoors because of a lack of space in mosques in France.
The outdoor prayer ban is the latest move by the French government to remove Islam from the public sphere. Laws prohibiting students wearing headscarves in schools and banning women from wearing the full Muslim veil -- the niqab --in public came into force in April.

Unfortunately New York is also experiencing these very same civil take overs by Muslims. Every Friday in several different areas of Manhattan (and in Queens, Long Island, NY) the streets are blocked to both foot and automobile traffic. The streets are then taken over for "prayer" by Muslims who claim that there is no room inside of their mosques. This is not done for the sake of prayer or worship. This is an act of DEFIANCE and INTIMIDATION. City leaders have chosen not to enforce laws that ban noisy, "spontaneous", unauthorized gatherings. Loud speakers blare out the call to prayer, drowning out every other sound on the city streets.
This is a TEST. This is a test of our government, our laws, our Constitution, our policy makers and of our strength as individuals. It is a test designed to measure our willingness to protect our way of life, a test designed to determine our willingness to fight back, it is a test of our "backbone". If America backs down in small matters, they learn that we will back down with larger, more important (and more invasive) matters. When we fail to enforce the law, when we allow ourselves to be intimidated by a very small and very vocal and virulent minority; we have given them carte blanche to act in any manner they deem necessary. The blind sheikh Omar Abdel Rahman, one of the planners of the World Trade Center bombings in 1993, said at a rally in New York City, "We will destroy you (America) with your own laws, we will destroy you with your own Constitution".
And we allow it.
