Rep. Pete King (NY), head of the House Committee on Homneland Security is about to begin hearings on the radicalization of Muslims in America. He wants to find out the who, where, how and why of Islam in America, and try to shed some light on the inner workings of jihad and sharia in the US. Outside his office, Muslims gathered to protest these hearings, claiming they will demonize Islam and Muslims, and do nothing positive against "terrorism".
Why are they not protesting how Islamists and jihadists use Islamic doctrine to justify their actions? Why are they not protesting how women are treated in Islamic countries? Why are the not protesting against the murder of apostates, or gays, or of women who are raped, both in and out of marriage? The outrage should be there, especially as we hold Islamic countries to the same standards as Western countries.
Islam, unfortunately does not do things the same way as we do. If it is in the Qur'an, hadiths or sunnah then it is what a good and faithful Muslim is required to do. And good Muslims always must protect the Ummah, at all costs so protesting a non-Muslim talking about Islam is prefectly natural.
