"Anti-Islam' statements get liberal advisor fired in Australia

Joseph Adams spoke the words of Islam and was sacked.  The messenger is held responsible for the message and has his free speech rights denied.  There is nothing false in what he said, but the government thought best to stifle his voice as it was seen as hate speech and bigoted against Muslims.  This travesty from down under is, unfortunately a disease with no symptoms: fear of Islam and Muslims.  There is this unspoken yet defined unease when it comes to the rules of Islam: say nothing and everything will be well.  Where this comes from can be placed on the doorstep of those jihadists who, in the past decades have used copious quotes from the Qur'an and hadiths of Muhammad to justify their murders.  Non-Muslims know all too well the consequences of speaking ill of Islam and take inordinate care to not offend, practicing self-censorship in lieu of standing for free speech. 

The line between safety and statement can be understood as the need to rationalize the removal of free speech rights, yet the end result is to abdicate both needs to Islam in order to assure protection from harm.  We might as well lay down and ask for mercy in that case, for we no longer have the will or the ability to stand and defend what is God-given: choice.

Australia, through their Premier, Barry O'Farrell has, in this case taken the path of least resistance, or so he thinks.  Short-term appeasement to Islamic agitation is always returned with more agitation, more strident calls for accommodations and greater showings of force on the streets.  Will O'Farrell handle these increased problems with the same lack of a spine he is showing now, or will the realities appear to him and allow the right decisions to be implimented?  If Islam keeps up the pressure, and the past confirms this to be true, there will be much more on O'Farrells plate than just the firing of a mid-level advisor, and the decisions he will have to make will make this episode seem like a walk across the outback to Ayers Rock.

Joseph Adams was not proved wrong nor his words shown to be false or a lie, his opposition could only muster the usual litany of insults and attacks, showing again the shallowness and intellectual abyss of those who support jihadists and Islamists. 

Robert Spencer of Jihad Watch makes this comment;
What did Joseph Adams say that was inaccurate? What did he say that was false? If Muhammad was not "the first terrorist of Islam," did he not say that he was, according to Islamic tradition? "I have been made victorious through terror" (Bukhari 4.52.220).

No one can dispute the facts presented by Adams, or show any recognized Islamic scholar presenting an accepted position of the opposite view.  By that criteria Adams should have never been let go, and his right to free speech upheld in the strongest terms.  The dhimmitude is creeping in and it is the the people who will suffer the most in the coming years.

To appease Islam is to allow it to spread.  Choking off speech some find unpleasant is a precedent of epically bad proportions.

 Lib adviser sacked after anti-Islam web posts

THE O'Farrell government has been embarrassed by a Liberal adviser who posted anti-Islamic comments online, including a description of the Prophet Muhammad as ''the first terrorist of Islam''.

Joseph Adams, who worked in the electorate office of the Smithfield Liberal, Andrew Rohan, was sacked on Friday. Mr Adams, pictured, had angered some of his 1000 Facebook friends - which include 15 state government MPs and four ministers - with selected excerpts from the Koran which he said prove Islam promotes killing, not love.

Lets see: 9-29, 9-111, 8-39, 9-20, 47-4, 2-190/93, 2-216....

He was labelled a ''bigot'' and the ''biggest f---ing racist ever'' by shocked friends.

What race is Islam again?

A record of his posts between March 24 and June 17, obtained by The Sun-Herald, show the criticism only spurred him on to make more offensive remarks.

Offensive to whom?  What level of offense, and determined by whom?

''The religious babble you refer to is Islam,'' he commented on June 4. ''There was no war. It was terrorism. Muhammad was the first terrorist in the name of Islam.''

He followed up with: "Why are you getting upset? I'm not the one who is teaching others to kill in the name of Islam. Mohommed is not my hero.''

On March 24, he taunted ''friend'' Faten Dabs with the comment: ''If you leave Islam it is HALAL for you to be EXECUTED. Lol. No wonder people are afraid to leave Islam.''

Muhammad said "Whoever leaves his religion, kill him"

After being branded a bigot on Facebook , he responded: ''Your biblical quotes are as ridiculous as your comparisons. I guess you never paid attention at Sunday school. Jesus spoke in parables. Mohommed on the other hand gave orders to kill.

''You seem to like standing up for killers and murderers. Is Ivan Milat a good person too? Perhaps you think Hitler was a great Prophet too? After all he did put a book together called Mein Kampf. Don't waste our time here Aaron. The only bigot here is someone with an uninformed view.''
