Clinton upset over Gingrich remark on Palestine; calls it "unhelpful"

Is it unhelpful to tell the truth? Is it unhelpful to expose the lies and false history of a people created to destroy another people? Is it unhelpful to identify the cause of the strife between Arabs and Jews? Is it unhelpful to point out the depravity of the leaders of the refugees in refusing to acknowledge historical fact? Is it unhelpful to stand for reality and critical analysis?

Clinton knows nothing about Islam and Middle East Muslim history, except what she has been told by her fawning Muslim synchophants like Karen Armstrong and Dalia Mogahed. If she actually did a bit of research on what Newt said, she would find out his statement is correct. But that would entail doing actual work, something she knows little about, except in terms of what it means to be a politician.

Clinton slams Gingrich comments on Palestinians

WASHINGTON - Newt Gingrich's comment that the Palestinians are an "invented people" was unhelpful, US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said on Wednesday, saying the Republican presidential candidate had realized this.

Gingrich, a former speaker of the US House of Representatives, stirred controversy on Friday when told the Jewish Channel cable television broadcaster he saw thePalestinians as an invented people who want to destroy Israel.

"Remember, there was no Palestine as a state. It was part of the Ottoman Empire" until the early 20th century, Gingrich said in the interview.

"I think that we've had an invented Palestinian people who are in fact Arabs and who were historically part of the Arab community. And they had a chance to go many places and for a variety of political reasons we have sustained this war against Israel now since the 1940s, and it's tragic," he said.

Asked by PBS Newshour Executive Editor Jim Lehrer at an event on economic innovation whether Gingrich's comment about the Palestinians being an "invented people" was helpful, Clinton replied: "No."

As with most people, Clinton believes, in her heart that the poor Palestinians are being oppressed, and if Israel would just lay down and die a little more, everything would be OK. She knows nothing of the history of that region, nor any meaningful historical facts about Islam. And this is our secretary of state, someone who should know the main players on stage, and what their motivation is for their part in the play. I guess even Cliffs Notes wouldn't help; you have to know what you're reading first.
